Competitive drag racer and past Young Guns judge Alex Taylor has just joined the ranks of the SMC program, and she will share her knowledge of all things drag racing and automotive. Her passion for racing is evident from her ’68 Camaro that she built to be a twin-turbo beast on the track.

“I’m so excited to be included in the Social Media Correspondent Program and am excited to see how SEMA has adapted so quickly to all the changes that have happened this year, and to see how they are working to incorporate new media outlets with this new program”, says Taylor. She continues, “I plan on sharing what I’m currently doing and projects currently in the works, without a whole lot of changes, because I think that helps emphasize how we can effectively and organically work with companies in the industry. I look forward to seeing how this program helps to bridge the gap between companies and the changes happening in media currently. It’s a learning process for both sides!”

Inspired by her husband, she decided that this daily driver was going to be anything but stock.

The turbo breathes through an upgraded AFE Power 3-in. catback exhaust with twin Takeda stainless steel tips.

Exterior enhancements include a custom fabricated grille insert, Zymexx rear spoiler, and Premium Auto Styling rear taillight overlays. The third-gen’s lowered stance is courtesy of the GECKO Racing coilovers and 18x8 BBS Wheels wrapped around low-profile treads.

The finishing touches that are on-deck include a custom wrap, interior work, and fiber-optic lights in the headliner. The coilovers will get replaced with air bags and the trunk will get overhauled with a wood floor where the air compressor will be mounted.

The NMRA World Finals + Holley Intergalactic Ford Festival combines NMRA championship drag racing, QA1 True Street, and the UPR Products Car Show together, and includes celebrity drifting and special appearances, Grand Champion competition, autocross, burnout contests and more. NMRA kicks off its season with the Spring Break Shootout at Bradenton Motorsports Park the weekend of March 4–7. The tour heads north to Atlanta Dragway (Commerce, Georgia), April 8–11, for the NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals. The new home of the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing is World Wide Technology Raceway (Madison, Illinois) as the team challenge continues May 13–16. The NMRA Ford Nationals makes its return to Summit Motorsports Park (Norwalk, Ohio) the weekend of June 10–13. US 131 Motorsports Park is once again on the schedule with the NMRA/NMCA Power Festival, July 22–25. Racers and fans have a two months to prepare for the finale at Beech Bend Raceway September 30–October 3, with the NMRA World Finals + Holley Intergalactic Ford Festival.

2021 NMCA Muscle Car Nationals Event Schedule

The NMCA Muscle Car Nationals returns to action in 2021 with six national events held at legendary motorsport facilities. The NMCA Muscle Car Nationals is home to thousands of vintage and modern vehicles participating across championship drag racing, street-legal competition, and car show arenas. NMCA kicks off the year once again at Bradenton Motorsports Park. The tour then moves north of Atlanta for the NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals in April. There’s big action in May at the Gateway to the West when the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing takes place at World Wide Technology Raceway. Following a brief mid-season break is the NMRA/NMCA Power Festival at US 131 Motorsports Park, which becomes a regular tour stop after last year’s wildly successful event. Summit Motorsports Park is back on the schedule in 2021 hosting the NMCA All-American Nationals. The season concludes once again at Lucas Oil Raceway just outside of Indianapolis with the NMCA World Street Finals.

PRI’s cross-country campaign will visit dozens of motorsports companies over a two-month span while collecting, generating, and distributing content for the racing community.

Performance Racing Industry (PRI) is launching a new cross-country campaign to gather and share news and updates from dozens of racing-related businesses. Dubbed “The PRI Road Tour,” the campaign is an all-out content creation bonanza that takes the PRI team directly to manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, race teams, race tracks and more, over a two-month span.

The PRI Road Tour, which begins October 10, will help manufacturers promote their products and services, and connect the worldwide racing industry by making more than 85 planned stops at motorsports businesses and facilities throughout the country, concluding on December 15. The PRI team will capture and share video, photos, and exclusive interviews highlighting the industry’s newest products, vehicles, races, and developments.

“If the industry can’t come to the PRI Trade Show in Indianapolis, then PRI is coming to the industry,” said PRI President Dr. Jamie Meyer.

Traveling in the PRI Road Tour van, wrapped with the PRI logo, the team will conduct on-site interviews and curate content to share on PRI’s website and social platforms, as well as within its monthly magazine. PRI is also partnering with various media outlets, racers, influencers and social media channels to further amplify the news and information it gathers.

PRI invites all motorsports companies to join the PRI Road Tour by submitting press releases, photos, videos, and other assets to RoadTour@PerformanceRacing.com to be included in the program. PRI will provide simple guidelines with minimal requirements to encourage widespread industry participation. Professional editors will have access to these submissions and generate content to be used on PRI’s channels, as well as shared with other media and influencers.

“The business of racing starts at PRI, and our goal is to support the motorsports industry by helping them spread the word about what they are doing,” Meyer said. “We’ve tapped into the world’s best photographers, videographers and social media experts to develop content that will resonate with the racing world.”

The PRI Road Tour kicks off on October 10, in Indianapolis with video shoots at the Indiana Convention Center, speed shops and popular attractions. The team will drive to Chicago on October 12, as it makes its way through Detroit, Cleveland and cities in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Arizona, and California.

The PRI team is closely following local, state and national health and safety guidelines as the Road Tour travels the country covering the business of racing.

CURT has added nine new options to its weld-on hitch offering, particularly to better accommodate service body trucks. Like our existing weld-on hitches, these new models ship with unattached side plates, allowing for flexible positioning on the vehicle frame.
This particular hitch #15925 has a 9-in. drop, 2-1/2-in. receiver and is rated for up to 20,000 lbs. It is also tested to SAE J684 specifications. We've also added 2-in. receivers and 18-in. drop options.
