In addition to celebrating the leaders, innovators and volunteers who have helped shape the industry, attendees will have the opportunity to support SEMA Cares, the charitable arm of SEMA dedicated to making a positive impact beyond the automotive community.

What Is SEMA Cares?

Established in 2007, SEMA Cares unites association members in support of organizations that improve the lives of children and families facing significant challenges. Through fundraising events and direct donations, SEMA Cares supports the Austin Hatcher Foundation for pediatric cancer, Childhelp's prevention and treatment programs for child abuse, and Victory Junction, a camp serving children with serious illnesses and medical conditions.

Support SEMA Cares at the Leaders & Legends Gala

A highlight of SEMA Cares fundraising efforts is the annual Pinewood Drags and Industry Cup Challenge, this year once again bringing together five industry categories to compete head-to-head in a spirited pinewood racing competition for bragging rights and trophy cup immortality.

The challenge has become a favorite tradition at the Gala, showcasing the creativity, camaraderie and competitive spirit that define the automotive aftermarket.

Beyond supporting a meaningful cause, attendees will enjoy one of SEMA's most prestigious traditions.

Established in 1976, the SEMA Leaders & Legends Gala has long served as the premier stage for recognizing the people behind the industry's most meaningful advancements. The 2026 program will continue that tradition, honoring distinguished leaders, welcoming new Hall of Fame inductees, and recognizing the dedication of board members, volunteers and contributors whose impact shapes the future of the aftermarket.

More than a ceremony, the Gala is a celebration of community. Attendees will experience an evening defined by connection, recognition and a shared purpose.

Whether you're a longtime participant or attending for the first time, the Gala offers a meaningful way to engage with the leaders and legacy of the SEMA community. From networking during the reception to the formal program and recognition moments, the evening is designed to bring the industry together to honor past achievements and inspire future innovation.

Graphic for the SEMA Market Report.

The numbers are in, and SEMA's newest market research report reveals where growth opportunities are emerging across the specialty-equipment industry.

The specialty-equipment market remained steady and resilient this past year, generating $52.92 billion in accessory and performance parts sales despite mixed economic conditions.

SEMA's newly released "2026 SEMA Market Report" explores the trends, consumer behaviors and vehicle-market shifts shaping the future of the automotive aftermarket. From pickup truck modifications and performance upgrades to changing demographics and powertrain trends, the report provides data-driven insights to help businesses identify opportunities and make informed decisions.

This article highlights several key findings, but the full report offers a much deeper look at the market forces influencing the industry today and in the years ahead.

Button to get SEMA Market Report.

Personalization Continues to Drive the Aftermarket

Vehicle personalization remains a cornerstone of the aftermarket.

Approximately one in four vehicle owners purchased accessory or performance products to personalize their vehicles in 2025, reinforcing the continued demand for customization across a broad range of consumers.

While enthusiast builds and dedicated project vehicles remain important segments, the research shows that most consumers purchase aftermarket products to personalize, improve or enhance their everyday drivers.

What it means: The market opportunity extends well beyond hardcore enthusiasts. Products that help consumers personalize daily-driven vehicles continue to attract significant demand.

Pickups Remain the Industry's Largest Segment

Pickup trucks continue to generate the largest share of aftermarket sales.

According to the report, pickup-related accessories and performance products accounted for 30% of total industry sales in 2025. Vehicle owners spent more than $15 billion modifying pickups for off-road recreation, utility and lifestyle applications.

What it means: Trucks remain one of the industry's strongest opportunities, with continued demand for products supporting work, recreation and personalization.

Younger Consumers Are Fueling Future Growth

The next generation of enthusiasts continues to play a critical role in the aftermarket.

More than half of accessory and performance parts buyers are under the age of 40, and younger consumers are more likely to undertake performance-focused and complex vehicle builds than older generations.

What it means: Businesses that understand younger consumers' interests, purchasing habits and vehicle preferences will be better positioned for long-term growth.

The Vehicle Fleet Continues to Evolve

The U.S. vehicle population continues shifting toward crossovers and utility vehicles as automakers produce fewer traditional passenger cars.

Even so, coupes, sedans and convertibles still account for more than one-third of vehicles on the road today, representing a substantial market for aftermarket products and services.

What it means: Emerging vehicle segments create new opportunities, but established vehicle categories remain highly relevant to the aftermarket.

Alternative Powertrains Grow While ICE Remains Dominant

Electric and hybrid vehicle sales continue to grow, now representing more than 15% of new-vehicle sales.

However, the report indicates that internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles are expected to remain the dominant powertrain for new vehicles sold in the United States through the next decade.

What it means: Aftermarket businesses can continue supporting their core ICE customers while monitoring growing opportunities in hybrid and electric vehicle segments.

Turn Data Into Opportunity

Understanding where the market is headed can help businesses make smarter decisions about product development, marketing, inventory planning and customer engagement.

The "2026 SEMA Market Report" provides a detailed look at:

  • Industry size and market dynamics.
  • Consumer purchasing behavior.
  • Pickup truck market trends.
  • Younger enthusiast demographics.
  • Vehicle fleet and powertrain changes.
  • Emerging opportunities across the aftermarket.

In a competitive market, access to reliable data can be a valuable advantage.

From the paddock to the energy of the trackside lounge, Turn 14 Distribution is continuing our deep-rooted commitment to the GRIDLIFE community through the 2026 season.

Cars on track at GRIDLIFE.

There are plenty of automotive events in the world, but very few capture the raw, unedited heartbeat of the grassroots racing community quite like GRIDLIFE. From drifting and relentless wheel-to-wheel racing by day to live DJ sets by night, this racing series offers enthusiasts a perfect middle ground for multiple driving disciplines, all set to an upbeat soundtrack.

At Turn 14 Distribution has never been interested in being passive spectators. It wants to be face-to-face with its dealers and the community whose second home is in the paddock. That's why Turn 14 Distribution is proud to announce its continued support of the GRIDLIFE tour through the 2026 season.

Coffee pouring into a cup of ice with the Turn 14 logo on it.

Supporting GRIDLIFE is more than just hanging trackside banners and watching the livestream on Racer Network; it means physically showing up to back the customers both on the grid and in the stands. Throughout the first half of the tour, the Turn 14 Distribution Partner Lounge––sponsored by Radium Engineering, Hawk Performance, Whiteline Suspension and MBRP––has been the ultimate trackside sanctuary. By offering premium hospitality, handcrafted coffee and a welcome break from the heat, the lounge provides front-row views of the absolute best racing action in the country.

Rearview Mirror: Mid-Season Update

The 2026 tour kicked off in spectacular fashion at Carolina Motorsports Park for GRIDLIFE South Carolina. The intense asphalt heat was matched only by the gridlock of passionate drivers testing the absolute limits of their fresh builds across three packed days of TrackBattle Time Attack and full-course drifting.

The Turn 14 Distribution lounge in the GRIDLIFE paddock.

From there, the caravan traveled to the legendary Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, where guests witnessed a weekend of intense GRIDLIFE Touring Cup (GLTC) matchups between Mainline Motorsport's E46 M3 and the Hybrid Racing EG Civic from the comfort of the Turn 14 Distribution VIP lounge overlooking the main straight. The cheers and camaraderie from the Partner Lounge even transferred to the Turn 14 Distribution team, who could be later found chipping in with an engine swap in the paddock. The weekend was headlined by Formula Drift's slide around the famous Keyhole for a spectacle of speed and tire smoke.

Most recently, the team converged on GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, Michigan, for the legendary GRIDLIFE Midwest Festival. This completely sold-out event was a massive, high-energy celebration, returning right to the iconic South Haven venue where this series first got its start 13 years ago. With a hot track dominating the day and a stacked festival lineup after the sun set, Midwest Fest drew droves of racing fans and festival-goers alike.

The Road Ahead

Cars drifting during a GRIDLIFE event.

While the first half of the season delivered incredible memories, Turn 14 Distribution is just getting warmed up. The remaining calendar dates feature some of the most historic, technical and unforgiving asphalt in North America. The Partner Lounge is packing up and heading north to the massive elevation drops of Watkins Glen International, followed by the tight, relentless curves of Lime Rock Park for Circuit Legends. Finally, the season will culminate in the ultimate West Coast pilgrimage to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

At each of these upcoming stops, Turn 14 Distribution dealers can expect the same elevated hospitality, networking opportunities and direct access to our team and the manufacturing heavyweights who keep their businesses moving forward.
