HRIA Education Day Held Next Week in Louisville

There is still time to register for the Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) annual Education Day, August 4, at the NSRA Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky. Twelve manufacturers will give hour-long presentations on various topics. These valuable sessions are open to all NSRA Nationals attendees. This is a popular event and seats are limited. Sessions will begin Thursday, August 4, at 9:00 a.m., with the last session concluding at 4:15 p.m.

Session 1
9:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m.

American Autowire – Wiring Solutions
A brief company introduction will be followed by product line overviews, including various build options. They will discuss how to determine the correct product line for your project, new product overviews and technical resources they offer.

Lokar – Pass the NSRA Safety 23
Lokar staff will discuss various solutions for a variety of NSRA Safety 23 inspection items. Learn how to adjust your neutral safety switch, new ways to install your hand brake or how to adjust your throttle linage and much more.

Session 2
10:15 a.m.–11:15 a.m.

Vintage Air – Basics of Air Conditioning
Vintage Air representatives will talk about the components, layout and operation of a modern aftermarket climate control system. This seminar is a great way to learn how all of the components work together to ensure that the HVAC system performs at optimal efficiency. They will also discuss proper installation techniques and AC charging.

Flaming River – Steering Systems and Solutions
Flaming River experts will cover the wide array of products they offer to improve the steering and electrical systems in your classic vehicle. Included will be powder-coating processes and coilover shock offerings.

Session 3
11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

COMP/FAST – About EFI?
This seminar starts with features and benefits of an aftermarket EFI system, how to plan yours and selecting the right system for your project, plus a lot of do’s and don’ts.

Borgeson – Steering Design
In this seminar attendees will hear about proper steering system designs, including associated linkages and safety concerns. They will explain methods for modernizing a steering system.

Session 4
12:45 p.m.–1:45 p.m.

Classic Instruments – Your Instruments
Based on experience working with top car builders all across the nation, the Classic Instruments staff will share tips for proper installation and choices you need to make when equipping your car with modern instruments.

Ididit – Steering Columns
After a brief lesson where ididit came from, what their current program is and more importantly, how they see their products evolving, company presenters will discuss integrating their latest technologies into your project.

Session 5
2:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.

Painless Performance – Electrical Basics Plus
Attendees will learn basic installation concepts and a long list of do’s and don’ts for electrical systems. A discussion will explain how electrical components operate (fuses, circuit breakers and relays) and why they are needed.

Fatman Fabrications – Chassis Design
This seminar will rely heavily on questions asked as the topic is too large to cover in one hour. There will be a lot of experienced answers that apply to many different chassis situations.

Session 6
3:15 p.m.–4:15 p.m.

Edelbrock – Power Packages
Choosing the right combination of street cylinder heads, intake manifolds and carburetors will be highlighted this seminar. Common tuning questions will be discussed and how all these components work together.

Ride Tech – Suspension Evaluation
This seminar will bring Ride Tech’s outdoor “evaluation center” indoors with discussions about ways and means for weighing cars, measuring for shocks, appropriate shock travel and spring rates.
