ScholarshipThe SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund has awarded $150,000 to 58 individuals this year. This includes 45 SEMA scholarships presented to current students, and 13 loan-forgiveness awards presented to employees of SEMA-member companies. The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund has awarded $152,000 to 61 individuals. The awards include 44 SEMA Scholarships, which are presented to current students, and 17 loan-forgiveness awards presented to employees of SEMA-member companies. In addition, one student was awarded a full-tuition scholarship for the 2014–2015 academic year to Ohio Technical College.

Launched two years ago, the SEMA Scholarship Engine Project has enjoyed support from nearly two dozen manufacturers and the talents of noted engine builder Ed Pink. The first year saw a 347ci small-block Ford engine go on the auction block, while a 405ci small-block Chevy was built last year. Both engines featured Dart SHP iron blocks and SHP aluminum cylinder heads.

More than 50 educational programs in a number of segment categories will be presented during Education Days at the 2013 SEMA Show, and you can see the full list starting on p. 94 of this issue. However, the following few presentations are of particular importance.

A total of $111,000 is being distributed to 67 individuals through the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund, a program administered by SEMA to foster leadership opportunities in the automotive specialty-equipment marketplace and to support educational goals for students.
