SEMA will host a special workshop on product data standards at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show in Orlando, Florida.
All product manufacturers will benefit from the session, "Factory
Product Information—Vendors... It's Time to Clean House! We Want to
Sell Your Products But Your Data Won’t Let Us!," which will cover the
latest industry data standards changes and how adoption of industry
standards and best business practices can save time and money, reduce
legal issues and sell more products. The workshop is hosted by the SEMA Business Technology Committee.

slipped in a sentence noting that production of the Chevrolet Camaro
convertible would begin in its Oshawa, Ontario plant in the first

The SEMA Businesswomen's Network (SBN)
presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to Linda Vaughn, a founding
member of the SBN, at the annual SEMA Networking Breakfast – Powered by
the SBN, in recognition of Vaughn’s lifelong participation and
exceptional achievements within the automotive aftermarket.
The province of Saskatchewan is postponing the adoption of a
raised-vehicle policy and will instead participate in the Canadian
Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA) Excessively Raised
Vehicle Working Group. The CCMTA convened the working group with a
mandate to develop a national best practice for the regulation of
raised vehicles.

Show. Shay, of Profits+Plus, helped participants determine strategies
and tactics they can use to make 2010 a winning year, largely based on
principles in the influential text cited by both Patton and still
taught by West Point instructors.
Ford and General Motors presented their design awards at the 2009 SEMA
Show to recognize and celebrate the innovation and ingenuity of the
specialty-equipment industry. With nearly 1,400 vehicles on display,
the Show's shinning stars came in many forms, from work trucks, trail
riders and urban cruisers to hand-built hot rods, green machines and
meaty musclecars.
