These shots of the '17 Sierra and Silverado 3500 HD Dually were snapped while the truck was on a test run in Metro Detroit. The heavy-duty pickups will be updated shortly after the release of the '16 Silverado and Sierra 1500 models. Versions of the trucks feature revised exterior styling, with features—LED running lights and revised grilles—lifted from some passenger car models.

Chevy Silverado GMC Sierra
The changes expected under the hood include the 6.2L gas V8 from the 1500 models and an updated Duramax turbodiesel, with improved power and fuel efficiency to keep up with what Ford and Ram trucks offer in this segment. The eight-speed automatic is expected to become the main transmission in these trucks now.

Expect to see the Silverado and Sierra 3500 HD Dually late this year or early in 2016.

The Ford Mustang, Jeep Wrangler and Chevrolet Silverado pickup were winners of the 2014 SEMA Awards, recognizing the year’s hottest vehicles. Does your company make products for those vehicles? Do you sell your products primarily in the United States? If you answered yes to both of these questions but want to expand your sales outside the United States, SEMA’s make/model data can help you get started by giving you easy-to-use information that will help you identify the best markets in terms of vehicle registrations. Through a joint program with the U.S. Department of Commerce and IHS Automotive, SEMA has complied the data into a user-friendly resource.
