Federal policy and its real-world impact on the automotive aftermarket took center stage last week as EPA Deputy Administrator David Fotouhi visited Southeast Michigan, including a stop at SEMA's Detroit-area facility.
During the visit to SEMA Garage in Plymouth, Michigan, which represents the nationwide automotive aftermarket, Fotouhi met with industry representatives and toured operations.
SEMA represents a nationwide network of mainly small automotive aftermarket companies that rely on common-sense regulations to innovate and bring products to market. The annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas, November 3-6, serves as a global platform, showcasing new products and trends while connecting manufacturers with buyers, media and industry professionals.
Fotouhi's visit to SEMA's Detroit facility highlights how the EPA's end of electric vehicle mandates is being felt positively throughout the auto industry.
