Baer Brake Systems added Don Baxter to the company as general manager. According to Baer, Baxter has more than 30 years of management in the automotive industry. “Baxter is someone we’ve had on our radar for quite a while,” said Hal Baer. “He has demonstrated success in operations management; risk and expense control; technology integration and optimization, along with other high-level expertise.”

Motegi Livery Design Contest Underway
Motegi Racing launched a livery design contest that gives entrants a chance to win the grand prize of a trip for two to Las Vegas for a Global Rallycross competition at the end of September. The winner will also get his or her design applied to the car, which is expected to be on display and nearly complete at the Las Vegas Global Rallycross event on September 29, wearing the new livery design. Terry Karges Selected as Executive Director of the Petersen Automotive Museum
Terry L. Karges was appointed executive director of the Petersen Automotive Museum. He will succeed Buddy Pepp beginning August 15. Pepp is retiring after a two-year run as executive director of the museum. Karges brings four decades of automotive, entertainment and motorsports management experience to the Petersen Automotive Museum. “Terry is a very well qualified businessman with a strong management background that the Board of Directors feels will do a terrific job as the Petersen Automotive Museum Executive Director,” said Petersen Automotive Museum Chairman of the Board Steve Young. “In addition to being a Southern California native familiar with our unique car culture, Terry also has valuable experience leading sales and marketing operations for major California theme parks, which makes him the best candidate to lead the Museum in unique and exciting ways.” 


Greg Golab Named Venchurs Inc. VP of Sales and Marketing
Venchurs Inc. has appointed industry veteran Greg Golab to vice president of sales and marketing. Golab replaces former vice president Terry Karges, who is transitioning to a new advisory role and member of the Venchurs board of directors. Karges recently accepted the position of executive director for the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. According to Venchurs, Golab brings more than 25 years of business operations and marketing experience to Venchurs. Previously, as president of Northstar Marketing Services, Golab served Venchurs as a marketing advisor and has in-depth knowledge of the company's current initiatives.
