Movers & Shakers: Amy Faulk Honored at Hot Rod Reunion, Tom Poteet, Wet Okole Hawaii's new Facility, and More

 SEMA Hall of Fame member Amy Faulk is one of the honorees of the 2009 Holley National Hot Rod Reunion.

Amy Faulk, the first woman to win a national event in Alcohol Dragster and the first woman to win a NHRA division championship, is one of the honorees of the 2009 Holley National Hot Rod Reunion, June 19–21, at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She joins honorees Darrell Gwynn, who was named the event’s Grand Marshal, Jerry Baltes, Chuck Nelson, Bob Creitz and Vance Hunt. Faulk, who is currently the chief administrative officer at Hypertech, has served on the SEMA Board of Directors, was named the SEMA Person of the Year in 1996 and is a member of the SEMA Hall of Fame.

WyoTech-Daytona has added two new courses to its curriculum–Advanced Marine and Off-Road Power–for students who have completed the institution’s required six-month core programs in Marine Technology or Motorcycle Technology. Students enrolled in the programs are eligible to test for Mercury Marine “Essentials” and Yamaha “Five Star Certification” programs. Each program is 12 weeks long.

Steering wheel manufacturer Grant Products International Inc. announced that Tom Poteet, longtime employee and president since 1986, has decided to leave the company. He plans to take some time off to travel within the United States and then get back to active status within the automotive arena.

Wet Okole Hawaii Inc. has moved into a new 24,000 sq.-ft. facility in Costa Mesa, California.

Wet Okole Hawaii Inc. has moved into a new 24,000 sq.-ft. facility at 1670 Sunflower Ave., in Costa Mesa, California. The new facility provided an expansion for the corporate headquarters, manufacturing and R&D, and features a retail showroom and installation bay for its local customers.

Brandware Public Relations was selected as the agency of record for Johnny Pag Motorcycles. Brandware is set to provide brand and product public relations services to support Johnny Pag’s mission of “getting more riders on the road.”
