SEMA is supporting Michigan legislation that would allow any municipality to issue a permit for a sanctioned motor vehicle racing event on highways, streets or airport runways within its geographical jurisdiction. Current Michigan law allows only cities to issue these permits.

Nominations are now being accepted for the SEMA Hall of Fame. Created
in 1969, the SEMA Hall of Fame is the most prestigious award presented
to an individual by the association. It is designed to honor
outstanding persons in the industry who have enhanced the stature of,
or significantly contributed to, the industry and/or association's
growth.
Nominations are being accepted until March 16, 2011, and can be submitted online by following this link.
Most SEMA members know the Air Force has a sprawling campus in the
mountains of Colorado Springs just south of Denver, but very few are
aware how the Academy’s top technology learning labs can help research,
develop, test and evaluate product ideas while helping the cadet
student body move towards graduation and beyond.
