Every category of the 2011 SEMA Show has experienced an increase in
booth sales. Show management has reported that there are currently more
than 1,000 exhibitors committed to the Show taking place November 1–4,
in Las Vegas. That is an 11% increase over the same time period last
year for the 2010 Show.
The deadline to participate in the priority space selection for the 2011 SEMA Show is April

The 6th Annual Rev'ved Up 4 Kids Charity Car Show
will take place on May 1, 2011, at Vic Edelbrock's Garage in Torrance,
California, from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. and will benefit The Center For
Learning Unlimited. Three heats will be held for the competing 15 high
school auto-tech teams, starting at 9:00 a.m., followed by 11:00 a.m. and 1:00
p.m. The teams will compete for college scholarships and the Division 7
Championship, giving them a chance to compete in front of thousands of
spectators at the National Championship "Showdown at SEMA" at the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas in November.
For the second consecutive year, booth space reservations for the 2011 SEMA Show
are up, indicating continuing signs of economic recovery. Exhibitor
contract submissions are up 23% and net square feet requested is up 5%.

General Motors is currently accepting proposals for companies
interested in developing a GM-based project vehicle for the 2011 SEMA
Show. The automaker recommends submitting proposals early for
preferential consideration, but no later than May 11, 2011.

Each year, a few vehicles dominate the automotive landscape. It stands
to reason that the most popular vehicles among consumers and
specialty-equipment manufacturers would also be among the most
profitable for all SEMA members. To help sort the vehicular wheat from
the chafe, we examined a series of forward-looking “SEMA Indicators” to
see what they might suggest about the crop of cars and trucks that are
likely to make the biggest sales impact in 2011.
