WD-40 Co. is looking for SEMA-member companies that manufacture or distribute products for the ’53 Ford F-100 to donate products for its charity vehicle this year—the WD-40/SEMA Cares Foose ’53 Ford F-100.

Some of the nation’s best hot-rod and custom-car builders will create unique pinewood race cars to participate in the annual SEMA Pinewood Drag Races, presented by eBay Motors. The Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) Builder's Challenge allows these selected hot-rod builders to create one-of-a-kind miniature custom cars to be raced and then auctioned to benefit the Childhelp and Victory Junction children's charities.

The third of four 2012 Mopar “Top Eliminator” winners will be chosen during the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, July 6–8. The winner will be recognized during the awards ceremony, which wraps up the three-day event.

This month's Young Executives Network (YEN) Member Spotlight features Ernie Manansala, CEO of Tribe Agency. At 30 years of age, Manansala has 10 years of industry experience. We recently spent some time with Manansala, discussing a variety of topics that we thought would be of interest to fellow SEMA YEN members.

With less than five months to go, plans for the 2012 SEMA Show are well underway and all indications are that we’re on track for another memorable event.  More than 60,000 buyers are expected to attend the event, October 30–November 2, in Las Vegas. The following is a quick update on SEMA’s attendee marketing efforts to draw qualified traffic to exhibitors booths.

The deadline to submit your SEMA Industry Awards nomination forms is Friday, June 29, 2012. The awards, which are presented during the SEMA Industry Awards Banquet at the SEMA Show, include SEMA Person of the Year, SEMA Rep Agency of the Year and SEMA WD of the Year.
