Doug Bresnahan is a motorsports industry executive with nearly three decades of experience leading business operations, commercial strategy, strategic partnerships, and organizational growth across premier racing teams, sanctioning bodies, events, and motorsports organizations.

As Managing Director of Performance Racing Industry (PRI), Bresnahan oversees the organization’s day-to-day business operations, including the annual PRI Trade Show, membership programs, business development initiatives, financial performance, and industry engagement efforts. Working closely with SEMA, he helps guide the organization’s long-term strategy while supporting initiatives that protect and grow the grassroots racing community and strengthen the overall motorsports industry. His role includes collaborating with industry stakeholders, manufacturers, race teams, promoters, sanctioning bodies, and business partners to enhance member value, expand industry participation, and advance PRI’s mission as a leading voice for motorsports businesses and racing professionals.

Doug joined PRI following a 19-year tenure with Andretti Global, including serving as Chief Commercial Officer, where he helped transform the organization into one of the most diversified race teams in the world, leading commercial expansion across INDYCAR, INDY NXT, Formula E, IMSA, Global Rallycross, Extreme E, and Supercars while securing major long-term partnerships and driving significant revenue growth across the organization’s global racing portfolio. His experience spans team leadership, stakeholder engagement, operational management, business development, event operations, and long-term strategic planning, with a strong focus on supporting and advancing the motorsports industry at every level. Bresnahan’s early background also includes roles with Champ Car, Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART), and K&K Insurance, where he developed deep relationships across the racing ecosystem, from grassroots competitors to manufacturers, sanctioning bodies, race teams, promoters, and industry partners. He is passionate about strengthening the motorsports community through collaboration, innovation, industry advocacy, and initiatives that support the long-term growth and sustainability of racing.

Bresnahan is a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Marketing and Management with business concentration. Doug and his wife reside in Westfield, Indiana and when not at a racetrack, enjoy spending time together with their family.
