Edelbrock AVS2 Series Carburetor Edelbrock released its AVS2 Series carburetor, which is based on its popular Thunder Series AVS. The new carb utilizes Annular Flow Booster technology, which is said to deliver near EFI-like throttle response. The annular flow boosters optimize fuel distribution via eight equally spaced orifices in the booster rings that replace the standard down-leg boosters that dump raw fuel into the venturi. With down-leg boosters, atomization doesn’t occur until after the butterfly valves, but with the annular flow boosters, atomization occurs instantly.
