Project VehicleExhibitors of the 2022 SEMA Show are invited to expand their reach, product exposure and Show-floor presence by offering products to builders through the Products for Project-Vehicle Builders list. The list connects manufacturers with builders looking to create or complete a vehicle project.

The list, which will be updated in SEMA eNews, features product offers and contact information provided by confirmed SEMA Show exhibitors. Builders interested in obtaining a product use the information to contact exhibitors directly. With each project vehicle required to be supported by a current 2022 SEMA Show exhibitor, all product-placement decisions, negotiations and agreements are the responsibility of the exhibiting manufacturer and the builder.

The list is open to exhibitors of the 2022 SEMA Show only. To be included in the list, complete the form.

Exhibitors: Each submission will appear on a first-come, first-served basis. As participation increases, all submissions will also be archived on www.SEMAShow.com.

Note: For verification purposes, the Project-Vehicle Builders form must be used to participate in the program; email submissions will not be included in the list. Participation in the list does not guarantee product or vehicle placement at the 2022 SEMA Show.

Registration for the 2022 SEMA Show, the premier gathering for the automotive specialty-equipment industry, is now open at www.semashow.com/register.

Taking place November 1–4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the 2022 SEMA Show will build upon the positive momentum following last year’s event, which successfully connected the $47.8 billion industry in person in what was the largest automotive trade show in North America since the pandemic shut everything down in 2020.

“The SEMA Show is where industry professionals go to grow existing relationships, create new ones, and push their businesses forward,” said Tom Gattuso, SEMA vice president of events. “Exhibitors are eager to showcase their products and services to the tens of thousands of qualified professionals in attendance.”

Anticipation for this year's SEMA Show ramped up in recent weeks as exhibitors selected their booth locations during Priority Space Selection, a weeks-long process that took place May 2–18.

“Enthusiasm for the 2022 Show continues to exceed last year’s, with more than 1 million sq. ft. of exhibitor space already committed for the 2022 SEMA Show and confirmed spaces running 25% above last year,” said Warren Kosikov, SEMA vice president of sales.

Attendees at the 2022 SEMA Show will learn about the latest products, trends and technology in the industry from manufacturers exhibiting throughout the entire Las Vegas Convention Center, including the surrounding parking lots. Educational seminars led by industry experts and networking events that bring market niches together will also be available during the four-day trade event.

“Our industry continues to thrive despite current challenges in the marketplace, and last year’s event proved that the value of conducting business and networking face-to-face can never be replaced,” said Gattuso. “Our mission is to help continue that momentum by providing an unparalleled experience that builds meaningful business relationships.”

Registration for the 2022 SEMA Show is offered in three categories—attendee, exhibitor and media—and everyone must qualify to attend. Attendees are encouraged to register early at www.semashow.com/register so they can secure their credentials and receive updates on breaking news from the 2022 SEMA Show.

Attendees are encouraged to check the floorplan to see where the companies they need to interact with will be located at the 2022 SEMA Show.

Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD) will be celebrated this year on July 8. At the request of the SEMA Action Network (SAN), this holiday has been marked each year since 2010 by a U.S. Congressional Resolution recognizing that the “collection and restoration of historic and classic cars is an important part of preserving the technological achievements and cultural heritage of the United States.”  States, local governments and Canadian provinces have adopted similar commemorative declarations, making it an international recognition of the collector-car hobby and the millions of individuals who support it.

Whether public or private, plan and submit your automotive-inspired July event at no cost. Locate an official listing near you and more the SEMA Action Network (SAN) website, which includes Courtney Hansen’s video public service announcement (PSA) shown above.

As in years past, a wide range of automotive festivities—both in-person and web-based—will honor the classics of the past and the future. Those planning live gatherings and virtual celebrations (online event, livestream, digital gallery, etc.) during July are invited to provide details for inclusion on the SAN website. As always, the SAN welcomes any level of participation throughout the month of July and encourages everyone to spread the word about commemorating the occasion.

Celebrate the hobby your way!

  • Attend an official vehicle-inspired event or web-based celebration.
  • Host your own safety-minded gathering, club meeting or online gallery.
  • Promote a holiday sale at your business in-store or online.
  • Invite partnerships with nearby enthusiast-related groups, if possible.
  • Drive your special ride—new or old—whatever the destination.

Participating organizers will be awarded a copy of the Congressional resolution for display at their registered event. Download the official logo and flyer from the homepage and help promote this special day. Post on social media using the hashtag #CCAD and tag the celebration's Facebook fan page (@CollectorCarAppreciationDayCCAD).

The Internal Revenue Service has increased the standard business-mileage deduction from 58.5 cents per mile to 62.5 cents per mile for the remainder of 2022. While the rate is generally updated annually, the IRS adjusted the rate mid-year in response to a rise in gas prices. The change takes effect July 1. The mileage calculation includes the cost of fuel, along with other vehicle fixed and variable operating expenses, such as depreciation, insurance, tires, etc.

Companies and individuals who use their automobiles (including vans, pickups and panel trucks) for business have the option of using the standard rate in lieu of keeping records of their actual expenses.

U.S. Representative Frank Pallone (D-NJ)—one of the most important and influential lawmakers in Washington, D.C., for helping to pass the RPM Act—strengthened and reaffirmed his support for the motorsports community by attending the Formula DRIFT event in Englishtown, New Jersey, last weekend.

Rep. Pallone is the chairman for the U.S. House Energy & Commerce Committee (E&C), which has jurisdiction over the RPM Act. Chairman Pallone’s participation is significant to the motorsports industry and for helping to pass the bill in 2022.

Rep. Pallone met with PROSPEC drivers from New Jersey, including Ricky Hoffman, Alex Jagger and Matthew Bystrak, who talked about the importance of passing the RPM Act to protect the ability to compete in modified street vehicles. The Congressman watched PRO Series drivers compete at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in racecars that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) maintains are not currently legal (the RPM Act would eliminate any uncertainty that street vehicles can be modified for track use).

SEMA staff and Chairman Pallone also met with track owner Mike Napp, members of the U.S. Air Force and racing businesses from New Jersey, and the Congressman was honored during the opening ceremonies.

The RPM Act (H.R. 3281/S.2736), is a bill that would protect the future of racing by clarifying in federal law that it is not illegal to modify and convert a street vehicle into a dedicated race vehicle. The House and Senate must pass the RPM Act by January 3, 2023, in order for it to become law during the 117th session of Congress.
