SEMA Show Opening

The 2025 SEMA Show, which continues today through Friday, November 7, opened with a superb Day 1 yesterday, with 4.5 million square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibit and event space overflowing with the latest aftermarket innovations, technology and products, plus heart-pounding activations and world-class educational seminars.

Ribbon-Cutting Opening to the 2025 SEMA Show

The day began with more fanfare than in years past, with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with some of the industry's top hitters. SEMA President and CEO Mike Spagnola was joined by Rep. Dina Titus, First Congressional District of Nevada; Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the president of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA); Glen Cromwell, the president of the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA); Steve Hill, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) CEO and president; and Melanie White, SEMA Board Chair.

Against a backdrop of hundreds of customized vehicles, media and industry professionals, the ribbon-cutting ceremony captured the energy and excitement of the opening day at the SEMA Show.

Ribbon Cutting

Earlier in the morning, Spagnola opened the 2025 SEMA Show with a time-honored Show tradition, the Kickoff Breakfast, priming the early-morning audience for an exciting and productive week ahead at the aftermarket's premier trade event.

Spagnola then welcomed FIA's Sulayem to the stage to highlight the newly forged partnership between the organizations, emphasizing the impact the combined effort will have on the global mobility industry and beyond.

"We will have global reach, the passion, the innovation, the impact that we will have together, and the many enthusiasts here who are a part of this show," Sulayem said. "You have to have passion. Otherwise, it's just a business. There is business, there is competition, but there is enjoyment, also, and I believe working together is the only way."

FIA Kick Off Breakfast

The opening program continued with a fireside chat between comedian, car collector and industry advocate Jay Leno and Stellantis Head of American Brands, North America Marketing and Retail Strategy and RAM Brand CEO Tim Kuniskis, who shared insights on the evolving landscape of automotive design, ingenuity and car culture at-large.

But the entertainment didn't stop there. Hoonigan Industries co-founder Brian Scotto offered an exclusive first look at the next edition of the internet-breaking Gymkhana film franchise. With Travis Pastrana behind the wheel of his third fully bespoke Gymkhana Subaru—the '78 Subaru BRAT "Brataroo" 9500 Turbo—the latest entry in the video series will take place across Australia and feature famed landmarks, legendary cameos, and the signature tire-shredding, close calls and massive jumps Gymkhana is known for.

New Trends on the 2025 SEMA Show Floor
SEMA Show Floor

On the Show floor, exhibitors were unveiling new products and vehicles to receptive crowds, eager to witness innovation on display, close and personal. One immediately recognizable trend from the SEMA Show floor was the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) features into products.

TraXtion highlighted its suite of AI-driven solutions--TreadSpecX, DamageSpeX and WheelSpec—all of which utilize advanced imaging and AI to provide digital inspections of vehicle components, from tire tread depth and alignment to body damage.

Located in Lower South Hall booth #42262, the brand is providing live demonstrations of the AI-driven systems all week for attendees, distributors and service providers.

Another exhibitor, Irvine, California-based SPARQ (North Hall booth #10969), revealed a new feature, the SPARQ CoLab, for its flagship SPARQ Diagnostics device, the plug-in tool and app that predicts and plans maintenance and repair needs.

SPARQ CoLab uses an AI diagnostics engine to interpret more than 50,000 vehicle codes, then allows the customer to share the verified diagnostic data directly with service centers, which the company says will eliminate communication between customer and mechanic.

"Every day, chaos finds the mechanic," said Codrin Cobzaru, co-founder and technical lead at SPARQ. "We built SPARQ CoLab to make the job of fixing cars less about fighting software and suspicion, and more about doing what mechanics love--getting people safely back on the road."

Interwoven through these activations and events was SEMA Live, the second annual program giving industry fans and enthusiasts an inside look at the aftermarket's exclusive trade-only event via livestream (learn more about SEMA Live here, and watch the Day 1 recap below.)

SEMA ADAS Showcase

SEMA ADAS Showcase
Location: South Hall–Upper, Booth #31255
When: November 4–7, 2025
Add to Show Planner. |  View the ADAS Showcase education schedule.

The 2025 SEMA Show is taking Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) education to the next level--literally in the Upper South Hall right now--with the brand-new ADAS Showcase, the Show's central hub for cutting-edge knowledge, live demonstrations and hands-on collaboration.

With nonstop activity of back-to-back demos, expert sessions and real-world training from morning through evening every day of the SEMA Show, this activation is for literally anyone in the aftermarket, from shop owners, parts manufacturers, collision repair specialists, modifiers, and even everyday drivers, as Zach Szuba of Snap-on Equipment pointed out.

"Just being aware of ADAS, as a driver, not even a technician or shop owner, is important. It's good to be aware of what goes on in your car and understand what could cause problems," Szuba said.

It's true: from repair pros and modifiers to toolmakers, engineers, and educators, everyone is gathering here to experience the next generation of ADAS technology in action.

Round-the-Clock Demos, Education and Insights

Attendees are diving into continuous 30-minute expert-led sessions from leading brands, SEMA, and industry innovators, all designed to deliver practical takeaways.

"This is a great opportunity to see units in action from each manufacturer, see their processes, and get first-hand experience to determine which system makes sense for their shop. We love demos in front of people, but it's hard to get to them--this is a chance for them to see it live," said Autel's Stew Peregrine.

In the 2025 SEMA ADAS Showcase in the Upper South Hall, attendees can:

  • Watch live calibration demos featuring real-world scanning and diagnostics.
  • Get hands-on training from top equipment providers and trainers, and ask questions in person.
  • Learn best practices for setup, environment control, and OEM compliance to get your business or car on track with ADAS.
  • Connect directly with the engineers and innovators shaping ADAS technology today.

Participating brands include: Autel, CarADAS, Bosch, BASF, Snap-on (John Bean), Hunter Engineering, RevvADAS, and Repairify, with support from the OEM Roundtable and additional industry partners.

ADAS Showcase

Going beyond just a typical booth display, each partner has time on the schedule for special education and hands-on demos. Hunter Engineering emphasized the showcase's consultative approach for shops.

"I'm in the field every day talking to shop owners and business owners who are interested in getting into ADAS, but just don't know how to approach it, or what they need to get started," Dylan Andrews said. "Right now we're showing attendees the tools and the space they need [for ADAS tech], and opening up the door for any questions they may have, giving them the confidence they need to [introduce ADAS into] their business,"

Ross Iacobellis added, "The SEMA ADAS Showcase is right next to the Collision Repair area. We've had very good attendance in the booth so far, and it's only Day 1."

Autel's Peregrine highlighted how ADAS technology ensures both safety and precision. "We're showcasing our IA-1000, which is robotic in nature. We want to ensure that safe repairs happen, and we build processes into our tools and workflow so technicians not only have success all the time, but the vehicle is always safe as it goes back to a customer," Peregrine said.

"Even small modifications to your car can impact calibration. Mileage matters too, since these systems move over time. At 25,000 or 30,000 miles, the radars can shift. They're not fixed in place," he added, underscoring the importance of awareness for both shop owners and drivers.

From nonstop demos to round-the-clock training and insights, the ADAS Showcase is where innovation meets application--helping today's professionals unlock new opportunities while keeping safety and accuracy at the forefront.

Don't miss a session. Stop by South Hall–Upper, booth #31255, and experience the ADAS Showcase live at the 2025 SEMA Show!

Channel Partner of the Year AAM Group

Cobb Tuning was named Manufacturer of the Year and The AAM Group was named Channel Partner of the Year at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The announcement was made at the SEMA Show Kickoff Breakfast, which honored both companies for their outstanding contributions to the automotive specialty-equipment industry during the past year.

"Both Cobb Tuning and The AAM Group are shaping the future of the aftermarket through a dedication to excellence that is truly inspiring," said SEMA President and CEO Mike Spagnola. "Their contributions--on the manufacturing floor and throughout the distribution channel--are enhancing the industry for the better, and we are proud to honor the impact they've made."

Cobb Tuning
Manufacturer of the Year Cobb Tuning

When addressed with the challenge of manufacturing 15 new intercooler designs in short order due to Original Equipment (OE) redesigns, Cobb Tuning implemented a rapid response model to manufacturing that enabled them to turn around tooling and get its machines running on new products within a business day, all in-house. The engineering team and production team worked together to review new tooling designs, and using a Markforged printer, printed new tools that Cobb Tuning put into use the next day.

This solution allows Cobb Tuning to create better components to meet its quality control needs more easily, faster, with less cost and waste at every step of the process. This process has been rolled out into other product lines, such as intake and exhaust systems, with equal impact.

Additionally, Cobb Tuning has been at the forefront of emissions-compliant tuning, helping set a new benchmark for responsible innovation within the ECU tuning and street-performance segment. Cobb Tuning's investment in its people is equally impressive as it offers tuition reimbursement and on-the-clock training opportunities to help employees advance their technical and leadership skills.

The AAM Group
Channel Partner of the Year AAM Group

The AAM Group is an automotive aftermarket-focused distribution group and specialty marketing firm, serving a network of warehouse distributors, jobbers, and supplier partners.

A catalyst for brand growth and channel success, The AAM Group holds frequent training sessions with its brand partners to identify product features and benefits, while also ensuring their team understands the business models, context, and needs of many types of SEMA channel partners and how to serve them.

The AAM Group is committed to product data enhancement and has extended its expertise beyond its own operations, teaching SEMA Data team members their validation and evaluation processes and actively coaching industry partners on the value of high-quality data. The AAM Group also makes product data usable for partners downstream of SEMA Data and enhances product data to improve customer experience for both wholesale and retail audiences.

Additionally, The AAM Group's Ready Posts social media program has a scaled offering of social media posts designed to equip local shops across North America to introduce its products and cultures to different generations. AAM's N-Store TV program is used by over 2,000 shops and is very effective at reaching all ages and introducing them to the value and benefits of our industry's products.
