Planning to be part of the 2016 SEMA Show? Exhibitors are encouraged to reserve their spot by April 1 for the Show to be eligible for the Priority Space Selection process. Participating in the Priority Space Selection process gives exhibiting companies the opportunity to select their best possible booth space for the 2016 SEMA Show, scheduled for Tuesday–Friday, November 1–4, in Las Vegas.

Hundreds of the top companies in the specialty-equipment market have already submitted applications for the Show, and are preparing to connect with an annual audience that includes more than 70,000 qualified buyers and 3,500 qualified media. 

Priority Booth Space Selection is a three-week process that begins May 2, 2016. In order to be included, companies must submit applications prior to the April 1 deadline.

Nominations are being accepted until Monday, March 21, for select committee positions on SEMA’s Councils and Networks.

The elected select committee of each council and network serves as the volunteer leadership for the group. Because these elected volunteers are in tune with their market and have the drive needed to influence change, they are entrusted to direct SEMA resources toward building solutions, benefits and opportunities that help companies succeed and prosper. Currently, there are 10 council and network groups within SEMA. Councils work to identify related business goals, issues and challenges for member companies in a particular market segment, while the professional networks are a platform for individuals within a company who share a common interest or characteristic.

  • Sales Rep: SpillVak is hiring someone with an intrinsic knowledge of sales processes applied within the automotive aftermarket who can apply deep industry sales experience, provide contacts with potential customers and within distributor networks, and has experience with providing feedback to a product development team.
  • Technician: Franjo Speed LLC is hiring a technician to install aftermarket performance parts and systems. The successful candidate must be able to problem solve, address aftermarket part adaptation/customization requirements and diagnose functional issues. 
  • Sales Executive: Merceli Wheels/Choice Auto Inc. is hiring a sales executive with related wheels experience. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, basic knowledge in the automotive industry and a strong ability to generate new customers and close the sale.

SEMA recently launched the SEMA Career Center to address the employment challenges of automotive companies and facilitate a talent pipeline for entering into the automotive aftermarket industry. Through an automotive network that includes the Auto Care Association, the SEMA Career Center will expand the volume and reach of job openings from automotive companies throughout the country.
