The Hyundai Veloster “Grap Ler” concept was unveiled Tuesday, November 5, in the Hyundai booth at the 2019 SEMA Show.

The Hyundai Veloster “Grap Ler” concept was unveiled Tuesday, November 5, in the Hyundai booth at the 2019 SEMA Show. The vehicle features a removable solar panel from Goal Zero, which powers an all-electric portable power station mounted inside the cabin for remote journeys. A custom vinyl exterior body wrap features a ghosted Hyundai-themed livery. Finally, a Seibon carbon-fiber hood effectively vents excess engine bay heat when things heat up out on the road.

Inside, the functional ruggedness theme continues. An integrated roll bar provides occupant protection and facilitates mounting for a fullsize spare wheel and tire. Further outfitting the interior are traction mats, an oversized utility shovel, a Goal Zero portable power station, a roadside assistance kit, a first-aid kit, a Napier outdoor dome tent, Scosche Mounts, Goal Zero crush lights and premium Recaro seats finished in a vintage houndstooth check pattern. Exterior lighting is modulated through a custom- designed switch panel. Hyundai genuine accessories include sport pedals, a sport shifter, all-weather mats, ambient footwell lighting and cargo blocks. A roof-mounted Thule utility basket includes a high-output lighting system from Baja Designs, allowing for versatility on the go.

Hot Wheels Legends TourGreg Salzillo's and Dave Ford's ’57 Nash Metropolitan are the winners of the 2019 Hot Wheels Legends Tour. The vehicle, nicknamed "Nashole," will join the Hot Wheels collection as a 1:64 scale die-cast.

Hot Wheels (booth #61045) announced that Greg Salzillo and Dave Ford—builders of a ’57 Nash Metropolitan—are the winners of the 2019 Hot Wheels Legends Tour. The tour made more than 20 stops around the globe in search of a custom car worthy of joining the Hot Wheels collection as a 1:64 scale die-cast.

The ’57 Nash Metropolitan—nicknamed “Nashole” is the second fan’s car to be immortalized as a die-cast and will hit shelves in stores nationwide in 2020.

The vehicle was chosen from almost 5,000 custom cars for its embodiment of Hot Wheels’ high standards of performance and design while being completely unique to any die-cast car that the brand has built in its 51-year history.

Hot Wheels designers and automotive aficionados made up the judging team, including Jay Leno, Adam Carolla, Richard Rawlings, MotorTrend Editor-in-chief Ed Loh, international auto influencers Juca and Sidney Hoffman, founder of Gumball 3000 Maximillion Cooper, legendary auto designer Dave Marek, Speed Channel’s “Car Warriors” host Brad Fanshaw, “CarCast” co-host Matt D’Andria, race car drivers Jackie Heinricher and Collete Davis, YouTube sensation Tanner Fox, SEMA Vice President of Sales Warren Kosikov and more.

The winner’s lifesize car and die-cast version will also join the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends, a collection of one-of-a-kind cars immortalized as Hot Wheels die-casts.
