Growing UAE Market Captures Media Attention
As global interest in and demand for automotive customization grows, so does the opportunity for increased business for SEMA-member companies. That is the reason why SEMA sponsors international business-development programs and connects SEMA members with potential buyers in emerging markets such as China, Russia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Custom Show Emirates that took place in Abu Dhabi was such a success that business publication Zawya featured an article about the event about a week before it took place. The article noted that the three-day event would likely sell out and reflected the UAE’s passion for custom cars and bikes. Participating SEMA-member companies were able to generate awareness of their products and connect with thousands of buyers from the region during the event.
A leading automotive portal within the UAE, DriveArabia.com noted that the Custom Show Emirates was the only event in the region that had official SEMA participation. With buyers and wholesalers from Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan and India in attendance, the event provided attendees with a chance to connect with SEMA-member companies.
GoDubai.com is also a web portal for car enthusiasts in the Middle East, registering 11 million hits monthly. The site reported on the rapid growth and increased interest in vehicle customization in the UAE. With the huge demand for auto accessories in the region, SEMA manufacturers are able to grow their businesses by exporting there. In addition to helping member companies grow their businesses, these programs are capturing the attention of media worldwide. For example, a recent trip in Abu Dhabi, UAE, generated plenty of buzz. Just take a look at a few of the clips below.
The Middle East North Africa Financial Network (MENAFN.com) highlighted Champion Oil’s participation in the Custom Emirates Show. The article noted that companies on the SEMA Business Development Tour were able to gain firsthand insight to emerging markets and network with retailers and wholesalers from key regions.
