SEMA Exhibitor News: Honda Racing Corporation, BOLT Lock
Honda Racing Corporation to Showcase Prototype Parts, Concept Cars and Race-Bred Machines at 2025 SEMA Show
Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC US), the North American racing arm for both Honda and Acura, will showcase new prototypes from its forthcoming line of performance and capability enhancing parts for on-road and off-road applications at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, November 4-7.
HRC will display eight vehicles at the SEMA automotive trade show, including the new Honda Civic Type R Rally XP and Passport TrailSport HRC Concept The display also features several special project vehicles equipped with prototype parts, such as lightweight forged wheels, upgraded suspension components and aerodynamic enhancements, developed by HRC's championship-winning engineers.
Civic Type R HRC Rally XP
Making its global debut, the Civic Type R HRC Rally XP is fresh from off-road testing to confirm the durability and capability of the car with F1 driver Liam Lawson in Texas. This demonstration build took learnings from the HART Acura Integra rally car, HRC's touring car experience and partnered with Rally Ready to push it even further. This street legal vehicle is built to compete in American Rally Association (ARA) 2WD class to help bridge Honda's touring car legacy with rugged performance innovation.
With added safety components, the HRC Rally XP pulls from HRC's racing catalog to utilize existing camber/caster plates, oil cooler kit, intercooler, radiator with reverse cooling flow hoses, clutch plate differential, suspension components and TCR hood vents. It also showcases numerous prototype parts including brakes sized for rally wheels, shifter, carbon fiber hydraulic handbrake and a custom exhaust. Additional upgrades include added underbody protection and rally-specific dampers.
Passport TrailSport HRC Concept
This take on the all-new '26 Honda Passport, already the most capable off-road Honda to date, features HRC performance and capability parts, functional accessories and unique styling to elevate it to new levels of performance. Engineered for off-road terrain and overlanding exploration, this concept vehicle features a comprehensive suite of enhancements across performance, protection, lighting and utility.
Features include resigned lower front and rear bumpers to improve approach and departure angles, extended aluminum skid plates and additional underbody protection to safeguard critical components, including the center bearing, prop shaft and rear drive unit. It also features new front and rear dampers, a one-off exhaust system and a 60mm suspension lift combined with a one-in. increase in tire diameter for improved ground clearance. There are also wider rock sliders that can act as side steps and a swing-out full-size spare tire carrier, among many other changes.
HRC also added upgraded fog lights, side camp lights, rooftop light bar, ditch lights and rear chase lights, all run by a custom multi-zone lighting control system. HRC developed a low-profile roof rack equipped with a side canopy to highlight the vehicle's overlanding capabilities. The concept includes an 8,000-lb. winch and integrated rear air compressor.
HRC will also have multiple purpose-built race cars on site, representing a wide variety of motorsports categories, including:
- Updated Integra Type S HRC Prototype
- Honda Baja Passport Race Truck
- Honda Civic Type R Super GT
- Alex Palou's Indy 500-Winning Honda-Powered IndyCar
- Honda Civic Type R TCR Car
