FedEx Express Implements Temporary International Surcharge

By SEMA Editors

FedEx is an essential business keeping commerce moving and delivering critical relief during the COVID-19 crisis. The carrier is still delivering under state of emergency and shelter in place restrictions issued in various parts of the world.

These restrictions are disrupting the global supply chain. Air cargo capacity is limited, and FedEx has had to make adjustments so that international networks can best deliver much-needed goods and services in this constrained environment.

To continue providing the best possible service during this time, FedEx has announced that it is implementing a temporary surcharge on all FedEx Express international parcel and freight shipments beginning April 6.

Visit FedEx’s website for the most current information on the carrier’s response to COVID-19.
