ProMedia Events to Host 50th Anniversary Ford Performance Parts Cobra Jet Reunion

ProMedia Events has been selected to host the 50th Anniversary Ford Performance Parts Cobra Jet Reunion at its NMCA All-American Nationals event at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, August 23–26. Presented by Tasca Ford and TascaParts.com, the event is open to all Ford vehicles powered by the Cobra Jet engine combination. Activities will include a car show, drag race, invited celebrities and a special celebration dinner for owners, media and fans. The dinner, presented by Tasca Ford, will be hosted by NHRA announcer and TV commentator Brian Lohnes, and feature guest speakers, video and slide show presentations. Invited celebrity guests include the Tasca family, Bill Barr, Dean Gregson, Dave Lyle, Jerry Harvey, Al Joniec, Rusty Gillis, Barrie Poole, Don Fezell, Jacky Jones, Brian Wolfe, Brent Hajek, John Calvert, Roy Hill, Chuck Watson Sr., and many others.

E3 Spark Plugs has announced a renewed partnership with American Flat Track Racing for 2018 and 2019. In addition, E3 recently renewed its sponsorship program with Richie Morris Racing (RMR) for 2018. RMR operates a two-rider program with Shayna Texter, riding in Singles and fresh off a win at Rolling Wheels, and GNC1 Rookie of the Year Jarod Vanderkooi, who recently moved to flat track from road racing and is riding twins.

Toyota Returns for 10th Season as Official Truck of Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series

Toyota returns for its 10th season as the official truck of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series, positioning itself as a presenting power-block sponsor for telecasts on CBS, CBS Sports and MAVTV that cumulatively represent 137 hours of exposure. The renewed agreement also gives a Toyota-branded on-board camera for all races and a prominent space on vendor row. In return, Toyota again will supply Team Lucas with a fleet of seven top-selling trucks for use as safety and support vehicles. The company also will continue to provide primary sponsorship for veteran Eric Barron in the Pro 4 class.

Permatex Sponsors Top 10 Follow A Dream Race Team for 2018 NHRA Season

Permatex is sponsoring the Permatex Follow A Dream Race Team for the 2018 NHRA Championship Top Alcohol Funny Car Series. This will be the 14th consecutive season that Permatex has partnered with Jay Blake and his Follow A Dream Race Team in the NHRA series as the team’s corporate sponsor. The Permatex Follow A Dream Race Team will compete in the 2018 NHRA series with driver Phil Burkart behind the wheel. Burkart joined the Follow A Dream team as the full-time driver in 2016. He will help the team compete in 14 national and regional races this year, across the United States. Anthony Terenzio will also continue as the team’s tuner. Terenzio joined the team in the 2016 season, after the retirement of long-time tuner Tom Howell.

LIQUI MOLY to Sponsor MotoAmerica Junior Cup Class

The brand-new MotoAmerica Junior Cup class will make its debut this season in the 2018 MotoAmerica Series, and it will do so with a new title sponsor and name—the 2018 MotoAmerica LIQUI MOLY Junior Cup Series. The LIQUI MOLY Junior Cup class replaces the spec-class KTM RC Cup that ran in the first three seasons of MotoAmerica, with the class now open to all manufacturers meeting homologation requirements. The class, which is the first rung on the ladder to the Superbike class for up-and-coming young riders (aged 14 to 25), will make its debut in the Suzuki Championship at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia, April 13–15.
