Ken Thwaits Races to 2017 OPTIMA’s Ultimate Street Car Invitational Championship
Ken Thwaits was crowned the 2017 champion in his Wilwood-equipped ’06 Mitsubishi EVO at OPTIMA’s Ultimate Street Car Invitational (OUSCI) in Las Vegas, November 5. OUSCI is the culminating event in OPTIMA’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car Series, open to street-legal performance vehicles. Those vehicles are grouped into classes and tested in various performance applications, including design and engineering, autocross, speed stop, road course and road rally.

Greg Adler Motorsports Captures Third-Place Podium in Completing the 50th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000
Greg Adler and Team 4 Wheel Parts battled for more than 31 hours across 1,134.4 miles of Baja California’s harshest terrain to a podium finish in the 50th anniversary of the Baja 1000 last weekend. Starting Thursday, November 16, Adler took off from the starting line in his Ultra4 Kirby-built machine, and despite momentary setbacks that parked the #10 for over four and a half hours for repairs throughout the race, Adler and his fellow drivers Brian Kirby and Jason Scherer collected third place in the class with an official finishing time of 31:17:01.
Formula DRIFT Extends Partnership with PASMAG for Official Fan Guide
Formula DRIFT Black Magic Pro Championship presented by BlackVue Dash Cameras has extended the partnership with PASMAG, part of the Performance Publication Media Group, to continue to create the Official Series Fan Guide. The three-year extension will extend into the 2020 season. The 2018 Formula DRIFT Fan Guide will celebrate the 15th year anniversary of the series and will also mark the 10th consecutive year for the partnership between the Series and Publication, which began in 2008. The Fan Guide is available for free at each of the eight Formula DRIFT Pro Championship events and additional specialty events through the year, as well as through the PASMAG dealer network and traditional retail stores. An enhanced digital version is available all season on PASMAG’s website, www.pasmag.com, and on the Formula DRIFT website.
