Bond Brand Loyalty names Mike McDowell Vice President of Business Development

Bond Brand Loyalty, a top North American brand loyalty agency, has expanded its leadership team with the addition of Mike McDowell as vice president of business development. McDowell, most recently senior director of North American field marketing for BlackBerry, begins his new position on August 24. He brings more than 18 years of marketing, channel management, people leadership and business development experience to the role.

McDowell will draw upon his understanding of customer needs, in-depth industry knowledge and enterprise technology product expertise to strengthen Bond's loyalty industry leadership position and continue its growth. He also will help clients focus on driving return on marketing investment and re-aligning their marketing spend for loyal outcomes.

A graduate of the Automotive Business School of Canada, Pasta has experience in the Canadian automotive industry dating back to 1997, including key positions in the vehicle rental, leasing and financing sectors. Pasta comes to CarProof most recently from Kia Motors Canada, where he acted as manager, national fleet sales, CPO and remarketing. In his new role, Pasta will focus on enhancing strategic relationships in the auction and fleet segments of the organization’s business.

MAVTV's hit show “Full Custom Garage” has been chosen by Cablefax as a finalist in the Reality Programming category of their Annual Program Awards. Cablefax’s finalists represent the best programs, writers, producers, actors and show runners across cable, broadcast and Internet platforms. “Full Custom Garage,” exclusive to MAVTV, takes the viewer inside the garage of expert car builder Ian Roussel as he builds one-of-a-kind vehicles.

NAFA Announces New Director of Accreditation Development

NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA) announces that Alexander Barton has been selected as the director of accreditation development, a new position focusing on development for the NAFA Sustainable Fleet Accreditation Program. Barton previously worked with NAFA on business development, which included selling advertising for FLEETSolutions magazine, as well as exhibits and sponsorship for the annual Institute & Expo.

NAFA’s Sustainable Fleet Accreditation Program provides fleets with a single, standard way to assess their real actions and progress on sustainability by recognizing concrete improvements in air quality through reducing emissions, increasing fuel efficiency, and reducing fuel use. The program includes tools and metrics to concretely measure (and score) fleet progress in emissions reduction, fuel consumption, and increases in fuel efficiency. It was developed in collaboration with CALSTART.

RealTruck Ranks 1844 on 2015 Inc. 500 | 5000

Inc. magazine has ranked North Dakota-based e-retailer RealTruck.com number 1844 on its 34th annual 500|5000 list, which was released August 12. This is an 11-spot jump from the company's position in 2014. Of the North Dakota-based companies on the list, RealTruck is ranked number 3. The annual Inc. 500|5000 report notes the fastest-growing private companies in the United States, based on three-year revenue growth.

Luken Communications' latest network offering, Rev'n, debuted its first exclusive, originally produced series, “Rev’n News,” on August 18. “Rev’n News” offers viewers an in-depth look at the latest parts, products and movers and shakers in the automotive aftermarket. The program is hosted by aftermarket veterans Michael Robleto and Joe Sebergandio and features correspondents Clarence Barnes and Cherielynn Westrich. It airs on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. Eastern/Pacific, with encore presentations on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Rev’n is also available for online streaming in HD at www.revntv.com.
