Fab Fours Hires Lee McGuire
Fab Fours has named Lee McGuire as sales and industry relations director. McGuire has been in the automotive aftermarket for 11 years, most recently serving as director of marketing and operations for Skyjacker Suspensions. She has served on a number of SEMA Select Committees and task forces. She is currently a Motorsports Parts Manufacturers Council (MPMC) select committee member and is the immediate-past chair of SEMA’s Young Executives Network (YEN). McGuire has been recognized in SEMA's 35 Under 35 in 2013 and was SEMA Young Executive of the year in 2009.
Brake Parts Inc. Hires Stephanie C. Slatkin
Stephanie C. Slatkin has joined Brake Parts Inc. (BPI) as vice president, general counsel and secretary. She will represent the company on a variety of legal matters, including supporting the transactional, contractual and legal compliance needs of Brake Parts Inc. Previously, Slatkin served as assistant general counsel for Fortune Brands Home & Security Inc., where she was responsible for managing the non-IP legal workflow for the parent company and its subsidiaries. Prior to that position, she worked for Fortune Brands Inc. as senior counsel.

Senator Richard Burr Visits Kee Auto Top
Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) visited Kee Auto Top Manufacturing Co. to talk with employees and tour Kee’s manufacturing facility on August 25. Sen. Burr is the Senate co-chair of the SEMA-supported Congressional Automotive Performance and Motorsports Caucus. For the past five years, he has served as the co-sponsor of the Senate resolution designating the second Friday in July as National Collector Car Appreciation Day. Sen. Burr remains one of SEMA’s closest allies in the U.S. Senate.
Karen Evans St. John invited the Senator who is among those responsible for passing Resolution 493 designating July 11, 2014, as Collector Car Appreciation Day. After the facility tour, Sen. Burr spent time talking with Kee employees regarding the industry, its future and some of the issues he is working on in Washington.
Driven Performance Brands Selects JMPR Public Relations to Handle Media Relations Project at 2014 SEMA Show
JMPR Public Relations Inc. has announced that it will handle PR and media-relations projects on behalf of Driven Performance Brands and its family of automotive aftermarket companies, including Hurst, B&M and Flowmaster leading up to and during the 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, November 4–7. JMPR will be responsible for promoting the company’s presence at the SEMA Show including scheduling meetings, interviews and briefings between media, VIPs and executives for each of the brands.
Bobit Awards Honor Green Fleet Cars and Trucks
Bobit Business Media will present the first-ever Green Fleet Car and Truck of the Year Awards at the 2014 Connected City Summit, November 20, as part of the Los Angeles Auto Show’s Connected Car Expo. The awards recognize the most environmentally friendly vehicles on the market. Bobit Business Media will select three finalists in each category, car and truck fleet of the year, based on submissions by OEMs. The finalists will then be voted upon by the readers of Green Fleet, Automotive Fleet, Work Truck and Business Fleet magazines through an online ballot. To develop the award criteria and identify the finalists, Bobit collaborated with and received technical assistance from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Argonne National Laboratory, which support the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Clean Cities program. Omix-ADA Names R. Lee Ermey "The Gunny" as its Celebrity Spokesperson
Omix-ADA has announced that R. Lee Ermey, “The Gunny,” will serve as the company’s official celebrity spokesman. Ermey, a Vietnam veteran and American actor, best known for his role as the no-nonsense Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Full Metal Jacket, will serve as the face of the company at events across the country and in promotional materials. In working with “The Gunny,” Omix-ADA will make use of the Jeep’s history as an all-American go-anywhere fighting vehicle with a well-recognized, decorated veteran who has personal experience with the brand.
During his tenure in the U.S. Marine Corps, Ermey attained the rank of staff sergeant and later served as a drill instructor. Following his retirement, Ermey received an honorary promotion to gunnery sergeant because of his longstanding contributions to the Marine Corps.
In addition to his service with the Marines and his role in Full Metal Jacket, Ermey has more than 100 other small- and big-screen credits to his name. From 2002 to 2009 Ermey hosted two programs on The History Channel; "Mail Call," in which he answered viewer questions about various militaria, both modern and historic; and Lock N' Load with R. Lee Ermey, which focused on the development of different types of weapons.
Counter Professionals Earn Incentive for Monroe Quik-Strut Assembly Sales Through Fall Promo
Tenneco’s Monroe brand has announced a $10 VISA Prepaid Card incentive to counterpeople for each pair of qualifying Monroe Quick-Strut premium replacement assemblies sold during the Monroe “Quick Rewards” promotion. The scorecard promotion is available through November 30, 2014, and will reward counter professionals for selling qualifying pairs of the ready-to-install strut replacement solution. Completed scorecards and copies of sales invoices must be postmarked and mailed to Monroe promotion headquarters no later than December 15, 2014. Reward dollars are calculated based on qualifying product sales between October 1 and November 30, 2014. Participants can earn up to $500 in rewards through this promotion.
