WD-40 Foose-Inspired Truck Raffled to Raise Money for SEMA Cares

The WD-40/SEMA Cares ’13 Ford F-150 Lariat, a collaboration between SEMA manufacturing members and students from the Alex Xydias Center for Automotive Arts (AXC), was designed by industry icon Chip Foose and is the first vehicle to be modified in the SEMA Garage – Industry Innovations Center in Diamond Bar, California.

Since 2009, WD-40 Co. and SEMA Cares have teamed up to raise more than $800,000 through six project builds, the most recent being a Ford F-150 that was raffled off to Virginia Jones of Walking Rock, Georgia. The enhanced ’13 Ford F-150 Lariat, a collaboration between SEMA manufacturing members and students from the Alex Xydias Center for Automotive Arts (AXC), was designed by industry icon Chip Foose and is the first vehicle to be modified in the SEMA Garage – Industry Innovations Center in Diamond Bar, California.

All modifications and installs were performed by students from the AXC, which consists of underprivileged teens and young adults, with experts from the manufacturing companies guiding them along the way. Accessories on the final truck include BASF paint done by LGE-CTS Motorsports; a Whipple supercharger; Gale Banks performance system; Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system; ICON Vehicle Dynamics suspension; Atlas leaf springs; Boatec hood, fenders and bedsides; Baja Forged bumpers and bed cage by LGE-CTS Motorsports; Bulldog lighting; WARN winch; AMP Research running boards; Katzkin interior; Optima Batteries; Clarion sound system; Metra face plate; HushMat; Fuel Tool; Mag-Hytech differential cover; Falken tires; and Fuel wheels.

All proceeds from the raffle benefit the three SEMA Cares charities: the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund, Childhelp and Victory Junction.
