Petersen Automotive Museum Adds Debbie Lewis as Director of Business Development
As the Petersen Automotive Museum approaches its 20th anniversary in 2014, it is developing long-term strategies to expand the museum’s outreach and create innovative experiences that are engaging for enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike. To help accomplish this task, the museum has added industry veteran Debbie Lewis as its new director of business development.

Lewis and her late husband Jim founded the Hotrod & Restoration trade magazine and the annual Hotrod and Restoration Trade Show in Indianapolis in 1997. The couple also founded the Robert E. Petersen Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002, which is given to a deserving pioneer who has had a positive impact on the genesis, growth and well-being of hot rodding. Past recipients include Wally Parks, Carroll Shelby, George Barris, the Ford Family and others.

During her five-year tenure, the magazine grew from four to 12 issues per year, while the show expanded significantly. Her hard work earned her several accolades, including: 2003 Goodguys Woman of the Year, 2005 SEMA SBN Businesswoman of the Year and 2005 SEMA HRIA Industry Recognition of an Individual.
