Established in 2002 to recognize the outstanding achievements and contributions of a woman in the specialty-equipment industry, the SBN Woman of the Year Award considers the perception of these women as role models, including knowledge and expertise, leadership and management roles, and their industry involvement.

The SBN Woman of the Year nominees are:

  • Theresa Contreras – L&G Enterprises
  • Lauren Fix – Classic Tube/Automotive Aspects
  • Sherry Kollien – Ford Motor Company

The SBN Athena Award, named after the Greek goddess of wisdom, was established in 1994 to honor a male or female SEMA member or company for outstanding contributions and dedication to women in the specialty-equipment industry.

The SBN Athena Award nominees are:

  • Doug Evans – Source Interlink Media
  • Ford Motor Co.
  • Kim Pendergast – Magnuson Superchargers

The Mentor of the Year Award was created to acknowledge and honor an individual for his/her wisdom, encouragement, and willingness to “help others along” as a foundation for growth within and for the specialty-equipment industry.

The SBN Mentor of the Year nominees are:

  • Doug Evans – Source Interlink Media
  • Karen Salvaggio – Thunder Valley Racing
