Carlisle Brake and Friction Forms New Hawk Performance Products Group
Carlisle Brake and Friction has formed the Hawk Performance Products
Group, consisting of the Hawk Performance, Cragar, Black Rock and Unique
brands. Hawk Performance is currently the official brake pad of SCCA,
NASA, Richard Petty Driving Experience, Skip Barber Racing School and
Ron Fellows Performance Driving School. In conjunction with the
announcement, the Hawk Performance Group also launched its new line of
rotors, the Quiet Slot Rotors.

Venchurs Vehicle Systems Hires Pat Muldoon
Venchurs Inc. hired Pat Muldoon as vice president of product development
engineering for Venchurs Vehicle Systems. Muldoon will develop new
vehicle programs, including high-profile image vehicles,
limited-production specialty models and more. He was the former senior
management of product development engineering at Chrysler’s Mopar
Division and had a hand in developing many of Mopar’s most iconic and
outrageous vehicles, such as the V-10 drag-pack Challenger and the
Mopar Ram Runner.
Petersen Museum Opens New Exhibit Honoring Phil Hill
The Petersen Automotive Museum has opened a new exhibit highlighting the
accomplishments of racing legend and restorer Phil Hill. According to
the museum, the exhibit was created in collaboration with Hill's son
Derek and will be on display through November 26, 2011. "Phil Hill: The
Life of a Legend" will include photos, memorabilia and trophies from
Hill's life, as well as the vehicles that he raced and restored.
Vehicles include the Ferrari 250 TR that he drove to victory at Le Mans
in 1958; the 1966 Chaparral 2-E Hill drove to victory in his final race;
the 1931 Pierce-Arrow in which Hill learned how to drive; the 1927
Packard that earned Best of Show at the prestigious Pebble Beach
Concours d'Elegance; and several other four-wheeled machines highlighted
throughout Hill's career.

Richard Petty to Appear at Goodguys Speedway Nationals
Stock car racing legend Richard Petty will make an appearance at the Goodguys 1st WIX Filters Speedway Nationals, September 16–18 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Petty will appear at the WIX Filters booth on the Midway, September 17, 2:30 p.m.–4:00 p.m. The Goodguys announced that the 1st WIX Filters Speedway Nationals is the first event of its kind ever to be held on the hallowed grounds of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and will feature more than 3,000 rods, customs, classics and musclecars, plus vendor exhibits, an autocross performance course, swap meet, track cruise and more. Jill Cabral and Eric Haugland Join EngineQuest
EngineQuest appointed Jill Cabral as general manager and Eric Haugland as national accounts manager. Cabral will report directly to Scott Stolberg, president and CEO of AAEQ, EQ's parent company, while Haugland will report directly to Cabral. As general manager, Cabral will oversee sales, marketing and purchasing for EQ. She has more than 25 years of aftermarket experience and has worked at AAEQ since 2006 in purchasing and administration. Haugland has more than 25 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, remanufacturing, machine shop and metal industries. He worked for AAEQ from 1999 to 2009 in sales, marketing, and motorsports and rejoins the company after working several years as national sales manager for a distribution company supplying engine builders. Haugland will be responsible for EQ's motorsports program and sales to national accounts.
New Warehouse for Fisher Auto Parts
Fisher Auto Parts acquired a 259,000-sq.-ft. warehouse and a 80,000-sq.-ft. mezzanine in Staunton, Virginia. The company plans to redevelop the space to serve as the company's new warehouse complex while its corporate office will expand at its current location. The company reports that the new warehouse will be modernized with environmentally friendly improvements, such as energy-efficient lighting and material-handling equipment.

"MotorzTV" to Premiere September 18
"MotorzTV" has announced that the show's first episode of its fifth season
will premiere September 18. Presented by the Sears Blue Tool Crew and
AMP Research and hosted by producer Chris Duke, upcoming episodes of
"MotorzTV" feature the popular Partz segments, where Duke demonstrates
some of the newest and most innovative products and tools designed to
make working on vehicles easier, make them run faster or more
efficiently or just look cooler. The show airs Sundays at 10:30 p.m. (PT) on DIRECTV and DISH Network.
Erin Hartman and Moddie Stone Hired by The Marx Group
The Marx Group and Marx Group Advisors has added Erin Hartman as
marketing coordinator and Moddie Stone as business operations manager
and sales coordinator. The company reports that the addition of new
staff coincides with its continued growth in both divisions that has
resulted in an expansion of office space by more than 1,150 sq. ft. at
its headquarters in San Rafael, California. Hartman will provide
marketing, public relations and social media support for The Marx Group
and Marx Group Advisors. Stone will manage and oversee the daily
functions of both divisions, and provide assistance in sales and
accounting.
