Is Your Directory Listing Correct? Need to Make a Change?

Deadline: September 2

The information for the printed SEMA Show Directory listing is taken from your Exhibit Space Rental Agreement submission. The deadline for changes to appear in the printed SEMA Show Directory is September 2, 2011. After this, all changes will only be reflected in the online listing. The Show contact from each exhibiting company will receive e-mails from SEMA with the information currently held by SEMA that will be in your directory listing. The first e-mail was sent on Wednesday, August 3, with the subject line “Your Printed 2011 SEMA Show Directory Listing.” The second e-mail was sent August 17. If the information in the e-mail is correct, please reply to the e-mail with a confirmation. If you have any questions or need to make any changes, please contact Marel Del Rio at mareld@sema.org or call 909/978-6740.

Deadline Checklist

One of the most important elements of the Exhibitor Manual and in your planning for the SEMA Show, is the Deadlines Checklist (pdf). This one-page pdf document will provide you with all the important dates to have everything ordered for your booth and ensure the lowest prices possible. Please print this page and have it readily available and posted on your desktop so you can reference it throughout the year. The first deadline is less than one month away so don’t wait too long to start planning!

New to the SEMA Show? Show Management Provides Webinars to Assist You!

In order to assist first-timers, or even those who want to ensure they have completed everything they need for the upcoming Show, we have created a series of two webinars that will help walk you through the most important elements of the exhibiting process, as well as assist you with navigating the online Exhibitor Manual. The first webinar, entitled "Ready, Set, Go! Ready Your Staff, Set Your Booth, Go to the Show!" will be held Tuesday, August 23, at 10:00 a.m. (PDT) and the second, "The Online Exhibitor Manual–How to Successfully Navigate the A–Z Guide for the SEMA Show," will be Tuesday, August 30, at 10:00 a.m. (PDT). You can simply click on either of the webinar titles to receive more information and sign up for the webinars.

In anticipation of these programs, you can also review the First-Timer Cheat Sheet (pdf) with those items most frequently rented, along with their pricing. You can review the form at your leisure and ensure everything is completed before any important deadline. Of course, if you have any questions or need anything further regarding these items or any others, feel free to contact Show Management at 702/450-7662, ext. 120, or by e-mail at SEMA-Exhibit@convexx.com. If you have specific questions for Freeman, please feel free to contact the Freeman Exhibitor Service Department at 702/407-4696.

Not sure What Comes With a Booth (pdf)? Check out not only what is included in your booth package, but also find out what color carpet and drapes will surround your booth. All this and more can be found in the Exhibitor Manual at www.SEMAShow.com.

Have You Registered Your Booth Personnel?

Deadline to Receive Badges in the Mail: October 14 (domestic) or September 23 (international)

Register today. Complimentary badges are available to exhibitors based on the size of their booth. Additional badges required over the allocated amount are $25 per badge. Unique individual e-mail addresses are required to complete registration for booth personnel. To receive a badge, each registrant is required to confirm their e-mail address when they receive their confirmation. If the e-mail is not confirmed prior to the badge mailing, the badges may be held for pick up at the Show.

If you did not receive your exhibitor registration password via e-mail, please contact customer service at RegMgr@convExx.com or call 702/450-7662, ext. 120. Remember, the password is nine numbers (the first two are zeros), followed by the letter O (hint: if you have a password from last year, drop the "S" in front and add the letter "O" at the end).

Ideas Alive: Featuring the New Products Showcase

Deadline: October 7

Does your company have a new product? Does your company have a product—regardless of how long it has been on the market—to highlight and display in a new Ideas Alive showcase entitled “Featured Products?” Take advantage of this free marketing opportunity by entering your product in the New Products Showcase. Your first product entry is free if entered by October 7 using your exhibitor password when entering your product online. Have questions? E-mail skaye@convexx.com or call 702/450-7662, ext. 124.

Tickets Now Available for the SEMA Awards Banquet

Getting your SEMA Awards Banquet Tickets is easier than ever. You can order them at the same time you register for your exhibitor badges. As an exhibitor, you receive one complimentary ticket per 100 net sq. ft. of exhibit space, up to a maximum of 10 complimentary tickets. Additional tickets are $50 each and can be ordered at the same time you reserve your complimentary tickets. There are two ways to secure your tickets:

Have not registered for badges:

Sign in to SEMA Exhibitor Registration. After you have registered your staff and chosen your badge contact, you will be able to select if you would like to receive your comp ticket(s) and if you would like to purchase any additional tickets.

Already registered for your badges:

Going through your group confirmation e-mail to access your dashboard, click on "view current booth staff." When you see the list of everyone registered, click "edit" on the “Badge Contact” listing. You will then edit your profile to display the banquet ticket options.

Monorail

Looking for an alternative form of transportation to get to the SEMA Show while in Las Vegas? The Las Vegas Monorail avoids the traffic of the city streets and drops you right off at the front door of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Stops along the Strip include the MGM Grand, Paris/Ballys, Flamingo, Imperial Palace, Harrah’s and extends all the way to the Las Vegas Hilton. SEMA has partnered once again with the Las Vegas Monorail to provide discounted fares on multi-day passes if you purchase the tickets in advance.

Book Your Hotel Rooms Early

While many companies assure you of the best rates possible, booking directly through SEMA’s housing bureau assures you a rate always better than what the hotel offers direct. Travel Planners will provide you with customer service throughout the year and upon your arrival in Las Vegas. For exhibitors and large groups, Travel Planners provides an easy-to-use site where rooming lists and itinerary changes can be handled with just the click of a button. Everything can be done online by you. You can book your housing now by reaching the "Housing/Lodging" page at www.SEMAShow.com. If you have any questions regarding housing for the upcoming SEMA Show, please contact Travel Planners at 800/221-3531 or 212/532-1660 or e-mail res@tphousing.com.

Please note: Travel Planners is the only official housing bureau associated with the 2011 SEMA Show. No other travel company is endorsed by or affiliated with SEMA and, in fact, many have created unscrupulous tactics, which will cost you money in the long run. Entering into financial agreements with such companies can have costly consequences and they will not be around when you arrive in Las Vegas for the Show.
