Parts Unlimited Inc. (PUI) has announced the addition of Alex Tainsh to the staff as executive vice president. Parts Unlimited Inc. is a leader in restoration aftermarket interior components and Windowfelt brand window weatherstripping. Tainsh is a 28-year industry veteran and founding member of the Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO) and is currently serving as the ARMO chair-elect. For the past 13 years, Tainsh has worked with TrimParts and SoffSeal. “I am grateful to TrimParts for the opportunity and am proud to have contributed to their success.” said Tainsh. “I look forward to joining the team at PUI. Mast Motorsports Acquires Performance Induction Specialties
Mast Motorsports reported that it has experienced major growth in LS powertrain engineering and development. To complement that growth, the company made significant investment in its manufacturing capabilities by acquiring cylinder head and intake manufacturer Performance Induction Specialties. The new Mast Motorsports manufacturing facility will remain in Walled Lake, Michigan, and utilize the very latest manufacturing equipment and software.

Cruz and Tony Pedregon Named Grand Marshals of Nostalgia Nationals
Cruz and Tony Pedregon will serve as grand marshals of the third annual Goodguys Nostalgia Nationals on October 15–17, at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The event features a rod and custom car show with more than 2,000 vehicles (’72 and earlier) on display along with a vintage drag race, swap meet and more. Madico Inc. Acquires Solamatrix Inc.
Solamatrix Inc. was acquired by Madico Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Lintec Corp. According to a recent press release, Solamatrix Inc. is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Madico Inc., and both companies will continue to operate and serve their markets independently. The companies will be carefully integrated to leverage how they best work together for the benefit of the new organization, suppliers and customers.

Pink “Pony Girl” Cancer-Awareness Mustang Seeks Celebrity Signatures
Creations n' Chrome, winner of a 2009 Ford Outstanding Achievement in Design award, is building a pink ’11 Mustang GT convertible for Ford’s booth at the 2010 SEMA Show. The project is led by Creations n' Chrome owners Kristin and Gary Watson, who joined forces with the American Cancer Society to raise funds to find a cure for breast (and other) cancer(s). The car’s interior designer, Todd Abraham of Advanced Performance Co., is seeking celebrities to sign autograph panels to be incorporated into the interior, which will be auctioned off later to benefit the American Cancer Society. Bona fide celebs are encouraged to sign in the Ford booth during SEMA or at Creations n' Chrome’s shop in Valencia, California. (Panels can also be shipped to A-listers). Project contributors include Vortech Superchargers, HRE Performance Wheels, 3D Carbon Styling Kits, Corsa Performance Exhaust, Nitrous Express, Spectra Chrome, Advanced Performance Company and Wilwood Brakes.
