Fundraiser for Severely Injured SEMA Member: Contribute to the Drive to Survive

On May 14, 2010, Dorian Comeau, owner of House of Boost in Lenexa, Kansas, was severely injured while testing a 1,500 hp LS-powered off-road racer, which his company had just completed. The injury has left Comeau paralyzed with untold and still increasing medical expenses. To help deal with these expenses, members of the industry and friends of Comeau banned together and established the Drive to Survive event.

Set for October 16, at the Wrap Factory in Edwardsville, Kansas, Drive to Survive will include a car and motorcycle show, a silent auction, food, a raffle and, at Comeau's request, a seatbelt safety-awareness program. The goal of the event is to help Comeau recover some of the unwieldy and mounting medical expenses, therefore, any vehicle can be registered for the show.

Members of the specialty-equipment community are encouraged to help out this true friend of the industry. Donations, including company T-shirts, products, industry or race memorabilia and more, are welcome contributions for this event and will go a long way in ensuring its ultimate success. In addition, any support provided will earn each company prominent logo placement on promotional material and banners produced and used during this event. So, be certain to include your logo along with your contribution.
