Movers & Shakers: PDK Wheels Seeks Project Vehicle for SEMA Show; Dr. Hwi Joong Kim; ASA Tire Systems Announces Staff Changes

PDK Wheels is seeking a project vehicle to display in its booth at the 2009 SEMA Show, November 3–6, in Las Vegas. The company’s original project vehicle suffered an interior electrical fire and was completely totaled. DUB Energy Drink
DUB and Monster partner for Monster Energy DUB Edition drink.

DUB Publishing Inc. partnered with Monster Energy Drink to produce the Monster Energy DUB Edition drink, set to launch October 2009. The two companies worked together to develop the first-ever super-sized 32 oz. grape-flavored cap canned beverage, customized with a special flavor formula to fuel those with an active urban lifestyle. Monster Energy will launch the DUB Edition drink in stores nationwide as a new addition to their lineup.

Dr. Hwi Joong Kim, Hankook Tire Co. Ltd.’s chief technology officer and chief production officer, was named the recipient of The University of Akron’s Department of Polymer Science 2009 Outstanding Alumni Award. The Outstanding Alumnus Award is given to graduates who show remarkable achievement in academics or technology. The University of Akron’s Department of Polymer Science annually recognizes an accredited alumnus and honors that person at a symposium during the fall semester. Dr. Kim oversees all global engineering, technical, and manufacturing activities at Hankook.

ASA Tire Systems announced the following staff changes: Russ Johnson, who has more than 25 years of seniority at ASA, will retire from his full-time duties; Jeff Manseau was promoted to TireMax product manager, a new position, due in part to Johnson’s retirement; Cindy Reynolds moved to TreadX/TirePro support supervisor; Erik Croswell moved to account management; and Sky Souza was promoted to marketing manager where she will oversee the operations of the marketing department.
