MPMC Long-Range Planning Meeting

The annual MPMC Long-Range Planning Meeting will be held on Friday, January 23, from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., at the Embassy Suites LAX South in El Segundo, California, which is the site of the MPMC Media Trade Conference.

“We always have the meeting on the Friday following the Media Trade Conference,” said MPMC Chairman Bill Floyd. “The 100 member companies who exhibit at the conference only need an extra night’s hotel stay to participate in the meeting, and attendance is always very good. We include a review of the conference in the agenda, so we get quite a lot of work done every year. It’s always a productive meeting.”

Anyone interested in attending should RSVP with Jim Skelly at jimsk@sema.org.

Media Trade Conference Set

The annual MPMC Media Trade Conference is set to kick off on Tuesday, January 20. This annual event brings 100 MPMC-member manufacturers together with upwards of 200 media representatives for three days of face-to-face meetings. Unlike other trade events, the meetings are dedicated to providing and gathering editorial content. Ad sales are prohibited from the meeting agendas. A possible 42, half-hour long meetings are scheduled over the three-day event, and many media report that they get a full 12 months' worth of technical material at this single event.

“We really want to thank all the participants at this year’s event,” said MPMC Chairman Bill Floyd. “No one has to mention the economic crunch we are all feeling. To have so many exhibitors and media committed to the Media Trade Conference is an indicator of the importance of the event itself and the dedication of our members and the media. A heartfelt thank you from MPMC to everyone involved.”
