MOVERS & SHAKERS: GLENN DAHL, KELLY KNEIFL, JAY TONSFELDT AND MORE

Senior Coordinator of Technical Education for BFS Retail & Commercial Operation LLC (BFRC) Glenn Dahl was appointed to the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Board of Governors. BFRC is a subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas Holdings.

Kelly Kneifl was named the COO of THI, the parent company of TruXedo Inc. and Extang Corp. Kneifl most recently held the position of automotive division manager for TruXedo. He will be instrumental in leading the combined TruXedo/Extang organization with new-product development strategies and further expansion into the truck aftermarket.

Kicker Audio named Jay Tonsfeldt as business unit director of its home and portables division. Tonsfeldt will create a strategic business plan and lead a team responsible for all facets of home-audio sales and distribution for Kicker’s newest undertaking.

The Audi R8 was selected by Robb Report editors as the magazine’s 2008 Car of the Year. Praised as “an amalgamation of racing experience, engineering prowess and design bravado,” the announcement was made during the 2008 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The award is presented annually to a vehicle (formally introduced the previous year) with technical designs, styling and performance that positions it as a preeminent sports or luxury car.

Megatronix announced that it is now an authorized distributor of Fortin bypass and data interface modules in the United States. Fortin manufactures certain modules for the mobile-electronics industry that will cover hundreds of different vehicle models.
