MOVERS & SHAKERS: DAN GUINEY, MARK WALLACE, JIM DORAN, ART RICHARDSON AND MORE

Yokohama Tire Corporation promoted Dan Guiney to director of technical services. According Jim MacMaster, Yokohama executive vice president, business division, Guiney, "is a consummate professional. Dan's engineering expertise will be used in several areas to assist Yokohama, including more involvement in tire testing; quality control and audits; consumer affairs, OE testing; and aftermarket service. Plus, Dan is Yokohama's technical representative to the Rubber Manufacturers Association."

Webasto Product North America Inc. named Mark Wallace president and CEO. WPNA is the North American subsidiary of Webasto AG’s Global Comfort Solutions (GCS) business unit. Wallace joins WPNA from Webasto AG’s Webasto Roof Systems Inc. (WRSI) subsidiary that specializes in the supply of innovative roof systems to the automotive industry.

Emhart announced that Jim Doran, a 16-year veteran of the company, returned after developing and managing similar sales and promotional programs at Alcoa. Doran will team up with Aftermarket Marketing Manager Russ Brown to develop and implement programs to increase sales and market share through Aftermarket and Catalog House channels.

Art Richardson has joined AIM as the company’s southern California sales representative. For the past 16 years, Richardson owned his own manufacturers’ representative firm. He began his aftermarket career working in an auto parts store as a counterman and store manager. He later worked for Motors Inc./Cardis, a warehouse distribution company that specialized in remanufactured parts.

MBRP Inc. was selected as the Wes-Coast Marketing Manufacturer of the Year for 2007. The award is presented to an aftermarket manufacturer based upon excellence in factory communication, fill rates, new-product releases, sales tools for representatives, industry commitment, SEMA involvement and attitude.
