SEMA to Expand Grassroots Hobbyist Network at Country Music Association’s 40th Annual CMA Music Fest admin Tue, 05/31/2011 - 16:55
The SEMA Action Network (SAN) will be on hand at the 40th Annual Country Music Association (CMA) Music Festival Power Zone to inform attendees about how they can get involved in the group’s legislative advocacy efforts. The Power Zone is designed as a new outreach endeavor aimed at the country music fan base, many of whom share a passion for automobiles.
At the request of SEMA and its Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO) and Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) councils, Senator John Tester (D-MT) and Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) have introduced and the Senate has approved Senate Resolution 154 (S. Res. 154) in the United States Senate, officially designating July 8, 2011, as “Collector Car Appreciation Day.” S. Res. 154 states that the Senate “recognizes that the collection and restoration of historic and classic cars is an important part of preserving the technological achievements and cultural heritage of the United States.”
