The SEMA Mustang Build Powered by Women won PR Daily’s 2013 Nonprofit PR Award for Best PR on a Shoestring Budget.
The SEMA Mustang Build Powered By Women, better known as “High Gear,”
will debut in the Ford Motor Co. booth, Tuesday, October 30, at 10:00
a.m.—the opening day of the 2012 SEMA Show
in Las Vegas. The ’13 Mustang GT made national headlines during the
summer when more than 40 women volunteered their time and expertise to
customize the vehicle in less than two months.
The SEMA Mustang Build Powered by Women has completed week three and four of its eight-week build, and progress is beyond everyone’s wildest expectations. For those of you just tuning in to this historical project, Ford Motor Co. donated a ’13 Mustang GT to SEMA and the SEMA Businesswomen’s Network (SBN), and the vehicle is being modified entirely by SBN members.

including the beautiful new ’13 Ford Mustang GT.
For this year’s SEMA Show,
Ford Motor Co. and SEMA have teamed up on a unique project: the SEMA
