New Products
Entering at least one product in the New Products Showcase
puts your latest products in front of thousands of qualified
buyers from every segment of the specialty-equipment
industry.

The New Product Showcase is the No. 1 reason buyers attend the SEMA Show. In fact, nearly 60% of SEMA Show buyers head to the Show with a list (plan) of the exhibitors they need to connect with. The first stop for most of these buyers will be the SEMA Show New Products Showcase, a modern museum of New Products that are available to customers now, or making their market debut at the Show. This year, the Showcase will be located in one continuous space of 30,000 sq. ft. in the Upper South Hall, and all scanning can be done using the SEMA Show app.

Exhibitors are encouraged to take advantage of the this opportunity to enter at least one product in the Showcase. Not only does the Showcase provide exhibitors with an additional avenue to reach new buyers away from their booth displays, products that meet the new product criteria may qualify to receive additional benefits, including eligibility for a SEMA Show New Product Award.

The best part: the first product you enter is free!

Enter your new products now!

In addition to the inherent benefits of entering the Showcase, each product will be photographed by SEMA's team of professional photographers, and the images will be featured in SEMA News and at www.SEMAphotos.com. They will also be promoted to the media and available to buyers at the Show.

Entry Fees:

  • The first product entered in one category in the New Products Showcase is FREE!
  • Additional $75 per product category before October 8.
  • After October 8, the cost is $150 per entry.
  • No refunds provided after October 8.
  • Entries submitted on-site will be accepted on a space availability basis.

Brass Knuckle
Grasshopper Dust Goggle/Spectacle
Brass Knuckle

The Brass Knuckle Grasshopper (BKDST-1010N) dust goggle/spectacle offers workday versatility and never sacrifices forget-you-have-it-on comfort. A soft, comfortable EVA foam dust filter with built-in air channels fills the gap between glasses and the face, keeping dust out. The filter also easily removes, transforming Grasshopper into standard protective eyewear.

Lenses are durable polycarbonate, meet or exceed ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2020, and are manufactured with Brass Knuckle’s industry-leading N-Fog anti-fog coating. N-FOG performance testing shows its anti-fog capability exceeds the world’s most stringent anti-fog standard—European EN 166/168—lasting 15 times longer.

This high degree of fog protection makes Grasshopper perfect for jobs requiring workers to migrate between widely varying temperature extremes that make fogging eyewear a true occupational hazard. The sporty European design features a stylish, wraparound lens for an unobstructed field of vision. Bend-but-don’t-break flexible thermoplastic rubber (TPR) grass-green temples provide hypoallergenic, non-slip comfort, adapting to any facial profile without distorting optics. Grasshopper is also fully dielectric (no metal anywhere) for an extra measure of safety.

SEMA Show
With exhibits included in the LVCC’s newly constructed West Hall,
the entire SEMA Show floorplan will be optimized and offers room
for new features and enhancements for an improved overall
attendee experience.

The halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center are nearly full of exhibits, but booth space is still being reserved, and more exhibitors are expected to secure space until the Show opens on November 2.

Attendees planning on joining the industry at the 2021 SEMA Show can see who's exhibiting and where through the updated floorplan. If you have not yet registered for the SEMA Show, taking place Tuesday-Friday, November 2-5, visit www.SEMAShow.com/attendee to register.

For 2021, the Show will include exhibit space in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s newly constructed West Hall, a 1.4-million-sq.-ft. facility completed in January. The new facility includes exhibitors from the Restyling & Car Care Accessories, Powersports & Utility Vehicles, and Truck, SUV & Off-Road sections.

Earlier in June, the visitors of the World of Concrete convention were the first to use the new hall, and the event marked the first large-scale convention and tradeshow to be held in Las Vegas in 15 months.

In addition to the new hall, the newly constructed Loop—a high-speed, people-mover system that runs 40 feet under the LVCC—will transport visitors between South, Central and West Halls. The World of Concrete successfully used the system to shuttle visitors through the 200-acre convention center.

Lawson Earns DTM Lead After Assen Podiums With Two Rounds Left

Liam Lawson sealed two podium finishes at Assen last weekend to claim the 2021 DTM championship lead with just two rounds left in the season. Despite carrying an extra 25 kg of success weight, Lawson was in contention for the win until the end of the race, which featured two safety car phases—his #30 ’20 Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo eventually coming home third with Red Bull AlphaTauri AF Corse teammate Alex Albon a DNF after being hit by a rival at the start of the race.

On Sunday, Lawson and Thai driver Albon locked out the second row of the grid to start third and fourth respectively and, despite initially losing a position from the start and running fourth, clever strategy in the pit stop put Lawson out in second place on the road. Lawson was then able to pull clear and pile pressure on race leader Lucas Auer (AUT) in the closing stages, but eventually had to settle for a close second place with Albon ending fifth in the #23 ’20 Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo.

Lawson has now finished in the top three on eight occasions already this season and he is now ahead of German Marco Wittmann by 10 points in the standings. Albon is 71 points behind Lawson in sixth with Red Bull AlphaTauri AF Corse now having 279 points to its name after six races to extend its lead in the team competition to 58 points with the 2021 season continuing from October 1-3 around the Hockenheim circuit in Germany.

Race 1 Result:
1. Marco Wittmann (GER) – Walkenhorst Motorsport
2. Mirko Bortolotti (ITA) - T3 Motorsport
3. Liam Lawson (NZL) – Red Bull AlphaTauri AF Corse
4. Maximilian Götz (GER) – Mercedes-AMG Team HRT
5.Christian Klien (AUT) – JP Motorsport
DNF Alex Albon (THA) – Red Bull AlphaTauri AF Corse

Race 2 Result:
1. Lucas Auer (AUT) – Mercedes-AMG Team Winward
2. Liam Lawson (NZL) – Red Bull AlphaTauri AF Corse
3. Marco Wittmann (GER) – Walkenhorst Motorsport
4. Kelvin van der Linde (RSA) – Team Abt Sportsline

Ben Mertlich
Ben Mertlich

Ben Mertlich (Aftermarket Performance Group) passed away Sunday morning, September 12, 2021, in a tragic accident on his prized Harley Davidson motorcycle. Mertlich lived a very full, happy, adventurous life, with every day full of passion and purpose. Everyone who knew him knew what a big heart he had. A celebration of life will be held at the Black Lion Event Center in Sandy, Utah, September 26, from 1:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.

Mertlich had a passion for everything automotive; he loved cars, trucks, motorcycles, sports and adventure. As part of his automotive obsession, Mertlich built, blew up, fixed and raced many vehicles, because it’s a passion that was inherited from and shared with his father.

Mertlich began his career when his friend Nick Widdison started Rally Sport Direct. Mertlich was the first employee, and it was just two guys working out of a garage for years. Mertlich became part of the Aftermarket Performance Group (APG) team when RallySport Direct was acquired. He served in many roles, and most recently, held the title of director of portfolio management for APG, and was a valuable member of the automotive community.

Mertlich was well known in the automotive community. He loved working with people throughout the company, and within the vendor community. Throughout the entire company, almost everyone knew Mertlich. He loved to laugh, and had a way of bringing people together. He was passionate about the business, but his strength was engaging others, whether it was on a call, teams or a meeting, he always brought a large amount of energy. Mertlich was not one to dress up for meetings, and was comfortable in his jeans, flannel shirt and baseball cap.

Mertlich attended the University of Utah while helping build the RallySport Direct business, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He was in the process of obtaining his master’s degree in business (MBA) with an expected graduation in early 2022.

The APG team is grateful that he chose us to bring his passion, and he will be missed.
