SEMA created an online update to the directory available at www.semashow.com/directory.

The 2012 SEMA Show Directory is one of the key resources that buyers use to locate SEMA Show exhibitors in the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition to providing buyers with company locations, the directory also includes brief company descriptions and a map detailing the layouts of the Show's three halls.

Exhibitors who signed up for the Show prior to August 31 were included in the 2012 SEMA Show Directory. However, exhibitors that secured a booth for the Show after August 31 do not appear in the printed directory. To accommodate those exhibitors, as well as any exhibitors that may have relocated after August 31, SEMA created an online update to the directory available at www.semashow.com/directory.

This year's printed directory is combined with the November issue of SEMA News magazine. This partnership provides buyers with a way to quickly navigate the Show floor and access to information on key Show attractions, in-depth details on a variety of display vehicles, locations and times of celebrity appearances, a list of available Vegas discounts and specials and more.

Over the past year, the Manufacturers’ Representative Council (MRC) has been evaluating how to best deliver value to its membership and what structure could best influence the manufacturers' representatives industry as a whole.

After careful consideration and thought-provoking deliberation, council leadership ultimately made the decision to transition MRC from an agency-based membership model to an individual-based professional network—the Manufacturers' Representative Network (MRN).

A critical component to this decision was the ability to reach more professionals in our industry and, as a result, better address the challenges and opportunities confronting the professional rep industry. MRN’s vision statement is as follows:

MRN is a community of manufacturer agents that seek to promote the benefits and relevance of the profession. We will do this by:

  • Collaborating with all segments of the specialty-equipment market on the importance of our community.
  • Strengthening our community through engaging industry professionals.
  • Being a catalyst for communicating solutions impacting the industry and its segments.

Professional sales agencies are comprised of individuals who cover diverse products and territories. The ability to effectively influence change in the industry requires that SEMA increase the communication channel and better serve all those on the front lines. A network approach that focuses on building a community of influencers will best promote the value manufacturers' representatives bring to the distribution channel.

To become a part of the network for professional agents and representatives, visit the Manufacturers' Representative Network and join today. Should you have any questions, contact Zane Clark at 909-978-6696.

“The Manufacturers' Representative Network is very excited about these changes and feels this will best serve, promote and elevate our industry,” said MRN Chairman Thomas Jourdan of True High Performance Sales.

The Professional Restylers Organization (PRO) has announced that the Technical Skills & Training Conference (TSTC) PRO Garage has eclipsed the 500 registered attendee mark.

The overwhelming response to this one-day event, featuring live installation demonstrations, is representative of the value PRO delivers to its membership and the importance of the restyling and accessory appearance industry.

Manufacturer participation in TSTC is exclusive to exhibiting PRO-member companies and provides an unparalleled stage to reach the critical target audience that only the SEMA Show can offer. PRO membership is offering this event at no cost to Show attendees and hopes to expose the specialty-equipment industry to the value of accessorization by demonstrating quality installations, best practices and increasing awareness for new business opportunities.

If you have not yet signed-up for this event, there is still time to register and be a part of one of the SEMA Show’s must-attend events of the year. PRO would also like to recognize this year’s participating manufacturers for their support in making TSTC such a huge success:

For more details on this year’s event or questions on how to secure a manufacturer demonstration slot at the 2013 TSTC PRO Garage, contact Zane Clark at 909-978-6696.
