To showcase the industry's top trend-setting vehicle models, the SEMA Awards will be announced and presented to winning automakers during the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, held Nov. 5-8, 2013. Through the program, SEMA exhibitors that make the products and accessories for today's popular models, will identify the vehicle platforms they believe are best for accessorizing, and ideal for showcasing the coolest new products.

West Virginia Delegate Gary Howell has been named vice chairman of the State Automotive Enthusiast Leadership Caucus. The Caucus is supported by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) and is chaired by New York Assemblyman Bill Reilich.
In addition to 11 designated floor sections, the 2013 SEMA Show includes three different areas where First-Time and Featured Exhibitors can be found.
The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund has awarded $137,000 to 52 individuals. The awards include 39 SEMA scholarships which are presented to current students, and 13 loan-forgiveness awards presented to employees of SEMA-member companies. In addition, one student was awarded a full-tuition scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year to Ohio Technical College.

The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), the organization representing the $31 billion specialty automotive industry, opened phase two of its automotive innovation facility in Southern California today, in conjunction with Collector Car Appreciation Day.
The annual SEMA Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) Education Day will be held, for the first time, in conjunction with the Detroit Autorama – the 60-year old custom cars show taking place at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan, in March. The program will consist of 24 sessions, each led by a hot rod parts manufacturer educating attendees about the products’ features, benefits and installation guidelines.
