The OEM Collision Repair Technology Summit is one of the most unique networking and learning opportunities available to the collision repair industry, designed to put SEMA Show attendees in a room with innovators in automotive structural design and technology. The Summit's focus is on emerging trends in vehicle construction and technology, and how both of those aspects influence vehicle repairability and collision industry preparation.

A diverse collection of eight Mustangs will be on display at the 2015 SEMA Show. Downsizing is Ford’s option for the Show as a majority of the Mustangs in the Ford stand will feature modified versions of the 2.3L EcoBoost engine, all creating substantial power with one example coming in at 900 hp. The colleciton of powerful ponies are part of a Ford stand that will feature more than 50 vehicles. Beyond the display vehicles, Ford Out Front also offers attendees a unique experience of watching or riding in one of Ford’s performance car or trucks on a closed course.

A Four-Cylinder EcoBoost Mustang With 900 Horsepower

Ford 4-Cylinder 900hp MustangTripling the power of the EcoBoost Mustang is the result of Bisimoto’s drive to create reliable high-performance parts for the 2.3L EcoBoost engine. In all, Bisimoto designed 14 new parts for their #FordSEMA show car for the engine and chassis. They continue their tradition of creating awe-inspiring vehicles with this super powerful “BisiBoost” Mustang.

Spotted with an F-150 nose, the next-generation ’18 Ford Expedition is expected to use much of the aluminum-intensive structure that debuted on Ford's full-size truck for 2015. It will allow the full-size SUV to do battle with GM's line of SUVs and meet more stringent fuel-economy standards and compete with a host of modern technologies introduced on Ford's volume truck.

It's widely expected the Expedition will take on the look of the F-150, largely a refinement on the outgoing model, and keep the same rough external and internal dimensions. The independent rear suspension will continue to give Ford's fullsize SUV an edge over Chevy and GMC rivals.

Inside, the Expedition should also look like its family, incorporating the latest technology features and Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment. Self-parking assists and advanced safety tech should also be part of the package—likely an important piece for the Lincoln Navigator sibling.

The 3.5L Ecoboost V6 from the current facelifted Expedition, introduced for 2015, should probably continue in the ’18 model. However, other Ecoboost options, such as the 2.7, could also be offered.

Expect the ’18 Expedition, along with the redesigned Navigator, to show up in 2017.
