The look and performance of a hot rod is virtually synonymous with the early days of the specialty-equipment industry. To many, hot rodding never grows old, and judging by the look and ingenuity found in these modern versions of classic style, it never will.

Whether it’s a hot rod with a classic look, or the garage-built raw appeal of a rat rod, the SEMA Show highlighted the wide variety of hot-rod style throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Redtail Telematics presented $1,000 to Larry Hite of Las Vegas, the winner of the company’s Ultimate Road Mileage Challenge, on Tuesday in the company’s booth at the 2015 SEMA Show.

For the worldwide promotion, fifty competitors who were chosen plugged the Redtail Telematics GPS device into the cigarette lighter/12-volt adapter in their vehicle and drove toward the prize. During the month of October, Redtail tracked their mileage on its website leaderboard. Hite ultimately logged the most miles.

Redtail provides technology solutions to insurance companies, vehicle fleets and individuals. The company offers a broad range of wireless services related to the continuous capture and analysis of high-frequency driver data.

According to Anna Amoresano, vice president of marketing, “SEMA is the ideal show for Redtail to connect with authorized resellers looking for a growing company offering state-of-the-art GPS products for families and fleets of between one and one million vehicles. Our veteran sales organization in the field can answer all your questions, but we’re also looking forward to meeting with you in person in our SEMA booth #11971.”
