  product
The October issue of SEMA News will focus specifically on new products to be unveiled at the 2014 SEMA Show.

One of the keys to a SEMA Show exhibitor's overall success is building excitement and exposure for new-product launches. And one of the best opportunities for exhibitors to promote their SEMA Show debut is by sending press release materials to SEMA's publication department.

New Product Promotion

SEMA News is one of the most powerful marketing tools for any SEMA Show exhibitor. Though it's published year-round, in the months leading up to the Show, it's an excellent resource for Show attendees. In fact, the October issue will focus specifically on new products to be unveiled at the 2014 SEMA Show.

To be included, simply e-mail Managing Editor Carr Winn a brief description of the product and include a high-resolution image in either tif, eps or jpeg format. The deadline to send materials for consideration is August 15, 2014. Click here for a look at the 2013 SEMA Show New Product Preview. Scrolling through last year's special section will illustrate the appropriate word count and image size required to be featured in the new product sneak peek.

For any questions about pre-Show coverage in SEMA News, please contact Carr Winn at carrw@sema.org.

Submission Policy: All submissions will be featured in pre-Show publications based on the order in which they were received on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event that the publications department receives more submissions than it can accommodate, the unpublished items will be placed on a waiting list and then included when and if additional space becomes available.

More than 700 professionals from around the specialty-equipment industry gathered July 17 at SEMA Headquarters in Diamond Bar, California, for the 2014 SEMA Garage Open House.

The evening was an exciting showcase of the Association's latest endeavor in member service as guests took an insider’s look at the Garage’s many capabilities and enjoyed an evening filled with great food and automotive excitement.

Industry veterans, such as recent Hall of Fame inductee, Jim Cozzie, and Tom Longo of Derale Performance, were more than happy to share their thoughts on the brand-new facility. Cozzie was quick to say that he could not believe the building's transition from "empty canvas" to complete facility. Longo added that his company has already used resources such as the 3D printer and plans to also use the photo cove for upcoming projects. Capping off the conversation was automotive legend, George Barris, who was happy to provide the ultra-famous orginal television Batmobile for the event.

Read more about the new facility through “The New SEMA Garage” in the July issue of SEMA News.

SEMA members are also encouraged to take advantage of the industry-owned SEMA Garage for product development, fitment, research and more. For additional information about the garage, including upcoming events and availability, contact Mike Spagnola at mikes@sema.org.
