After the introduction of the facelifted versions of most models of the Fiat 500 range, 2016 will see the renovation of the remaining car—the 500 Abarth. This prototype was on its way down from the winter test in Sweden to its home territory, the Italian city of Turin.

2017 Fiat Abarth Prototype

While exterior modifications will be in accordance with those of the standard 500s, engines will be carried over from the current model. The 1.4L turbocharged engine will again be available in different variations. In the “normal” 500 Abarth, the engine will deliver 135 hp. In the “SS” and “595” guise, the output will be 160 hp, and as an “Assetto Corse,” the car will be powered by 190 or 205 hp. Just below that will be the “695,” returning 180 hp. Introduction of the 500 Abarth will be at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
