The 2017 SEMA Show will feature more than 2,400 exhibiting companies, including veteran manufacturers and first-timers, who will display their latest and most innovative new products.

Companies that submit booth space applications for the 2017 SEMA Show prior to Friday, March 31, are eligible to participate in the Priority Space Selection process. The space selection process, beginning May 1, provides exhibitors with the opportunity to secure the best location for their Show display.

On April 25, each company will be contacted via email with their booth selection date and time range. The email will be sent to the person listed as the exhibitor’s primary SEMA Show contact.

Be Prepared. About an hour prior to the time to select, exhibitors are encouraged to be prepared by viewing the 2017 Show’s online floorpan. Updated every 30 minutes, exhibitors can see as the Show begins to take shape and monitor their desired section to gain a general idea of where they want to display.

Check Email. On April 25, each primary contact should take time to check their email, including their “junk” folders. Companies that have not received a correspondence by April 27, or that want to change the primary Show contact listed on the application should email sales@sema.org or call 909-396-0289.

Making The Pick. During the exhibitor’s time to pick, the SEMA Show account representative will call the primary SEMA Show contact and help locate and assign the exhibit space that best suits the company’s needs.

This role is an opportunity for someone who understands how today’s marketing trends work. The ideal candidate will have more than five years of experience growing a company’s revenue through brand strategy, online presence, event management, advertising, public relations and expertise in social media. This position reports directly to the CEO and serves on the New Product Development Committee, which launches 5–10 new products each year. 

Class A Transfer Driver: Coker Tire is hiring a Class A transfer driver to provide transfer shuttle service between the company’s Chattanooga, Tennessee, and City of Industry, California, distribution sites. This individual will also assist with car shows and events in various parts of the country as needed. During slow periods, this individual will assist in various areas of distribution at the company’s local warehouse. Applicants should be available 24/7 throughout the year. Travel would not be expected on company-paid holidays. The ideal candidate will have a Class A CDL, a minimum of two years’ long-haul experience and the ability to lift/load 35–50 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.

Tech Line Specialist: MagnaFlow is hiring a tech line specialist responsible for answering customer inquiries via phone or e-mail, recording information, creating case files and following up on product issues to resolve discrepancies. The successful candidate will have an automotive-repair background, good phone and writing skills, be computer literate and able to sit and stand intermittently, climb stairs occasionally and lift up to 25 lbs. with or without accommodations. The ability to multi-task is a must.

The West Virginia House approved legislation to create a special procedure for a person in possession of an abandoned antique vehicle to apply for and receive title to the vehicle.

Legislation to create a special procedure for a person in possession of an abandoned antique vehicle to apply for and receive title to the vehicle was approved by the West Virginia House. Under the bill, the Division of Motor Vehicles would search for the owner of the vehicle and provide notice that an application has been filed for title to the vehicle. Antique motor vehicles are those vehicles manufactured more than 25 years before the current date. The bill will next be considered by the Senate Government Organization Committee.
