SEMA Show
There’s still time to register for the 2018 SEMA Show, October 30–November 2, in Las Vegas.

Buyers from Mexico still have time to register for the 2018 SEMA Show by submitting an online application.

The application is available in multiple languages, including Spanish, and includes a convenient link to secure housing. With dozens of nonstop flights from Mexico to Las Vegas daily, traveling to the SEMA Show from Mexico is simple and may be a contributing factor as to why Mexico is among the top of the list of countries that SEMA Show buyers are from.

“Las Vegas and the SEMA Show are great destinations for people from all over the world,” said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of events and business development. “That may be more so for buyers from Mexico than anywhere else. Traveling to Las Vegas from Mexico is easy with a direct flight, and there are so many restaurant, hotel and entertainment options in the city to make it a pleasant trip for visitors.”

Approved registrants will receive a barcode on their confirmation email, which can be used to pick up a badge on-site. Attendees will be able to enter the SEMA Show all four days of the event with a single badge, which will also provide access to SEMA Ignited—the official after-party held Friday, November 2.

Young Accessorizers Report
SEMA’s new “Young Accessorizers Report” is now available through SEMA Market Research.

Did you know that nearly half of all young drivers age 16–24 would rather go a week without their phone than their car? Despite media reports to the contrary, young people still have an interest in cars and accessorization. In fact, it’s an important part of their life. Seventy-nine percent of young accessorizers think their vehicles help them stay closer to friends. And they’re not all shopping online for their parts, either. Sixty-six percent buy at least some parts for their favorite modification project in-store.

Want to learn more about young accessorizers? Interested in what they drive? Curious about their motivations and how to reach them more effectively? Check out SEMA’s new “Young Accessorizers Report.”

What do you think about the state of the industry? We need help from the SEMA community!

If you receive a message from MDC Research (or from us) inviting you to give your opinion on the specialty-equipment industry, rest assured that this is legitimate. Help us out and take a few minutes to provide your feedback. This will help us provide the best information for our industry.
