Network Select Committee Election Results Announced

Over the past several weeks, SEMA network leadership has combed through select committee nominations. Here’s a look at who is new and returning to each network:

Young Executives Network (YEN)

YEN welcomes three new industry professionals to its select committee: Abigail Beckert from Kahn Media, Jonathan Barber from Bob Cook Sales, and Zach Denney from Wholesale Horsepower. YEN welcomes back Daryl Hutson from JcrOffroad and Jeremy Headlee from ICON Vehicle Dynamics as incumbents.

Emerging Trends & Technology Network (ETTN)

ETTN welcomes three new industry professionals to its select committee: Jonathan Mill from Wheel Well, Robert Morreale from The Tuning School, and Robert Prucka from Clemson University. Kelleigh Ash from Rolling Big Power, Nick DiBlasi from Race Winning Brands, and Gabe Hall from MagnaFlow are returning as incumbents.

SBN welcomes three new industry professionals to its select committee: Sarah Morosan from LGE-CTS Motorsports, Charlene Bower from Bower Media and the Ladies Offroad Network, and Kendra Sommer from Cruisin’ With Kendra. Cathy Clark from Bob Cook Sales and Tiffany Dorin from Battery-Biz are returning as incumbents for the new term.

All new select committee members will take their positions July 1, and attend the annual SEMA Installation & Gala, to be held July 26, in Anaheim, California.

New Resource Guide Features Industry Services Offered by SEMA Members

SEMA Industry Indicators: U.S. Economy Continues to Grow, But at a Slower Rate

While new-vehicle sales improved in March, they remain down for the quarter and for the year. Additionally, job gains, while positive, have also slowed.

Economic data since the shutdown has been weaker and less robust than anticipated and will continue to be throughout the remainder of 2019. However, most economists expect growth to continue. It remains unclear when, how and even if a recession will occur.

Despite this, there are many signs of strength as well. Equity markets have recovered their declines from last year. Manufacturing is looking positive, as readings on new orders and overall production have improved. Likewise, consumer sentiment has rebounded as some uncertainty has dissipated.
