Hyundai

This is the Hyundai RM19, caught while testing for the first time in Germany.

Hyundai's N performance division has been expanding by creating tuned versions of the company’s existing vehicles, but it has plans to make a bespoke sports car. It’s been spotted testing a modified Veloster N on the Nürburgring that’s mid-engined and reportedly a precursor to the division’s dedicated car.

Little other information is known about the car itself, but considering the Veloster prototype, it’s expected to be a compact sports car, possibly in the vein of a Porsche 718 Boxster/Cayman. Power is likely to be delivered by a turbocharged four-cylinder, making rear-wheel-drive a possibility. Global sales are expected for the vehicle, too.

Expect a concept version of the RM19 in the near future, but a timeline for a production version has yet to be determined.

MPMC
During the Media Trade Conference, manufacturers supply technical and product information with dozens of editorial staff from print and digital outlets in prescheduled, 30-minute meetings.

MPMC manufacturers are now submitting applications to participate in the 2020 MPMC Media Trade Conference—a unique industry event that brings together editors, reporters and editorial teams from all over the world with MPMC-member manufacturers for individual, private, one-on-one interviews. Manufacturers supply technical and product information with dozens of editorial staff from print and digital outlets in prescheduled, 30-minute meetings. The three-day event has no other “distractions,” such as a trade show, race or other event occuring at the same time.

“The MPMC Media Trade Conference is one of the best events a manufacturer can take part in each year,” said Garrett Harmola, president and owner of Aldan American Suspension. “Creating the environment where editors, media and manufacturers can have focused, one-on-one meetings to discuss new products, projects and content development is something only MPMC can provide.”

The MPMC Media Trade Conference is available only to MPMC-member manufacturers, and only 100 are selected each year, chosen by a random number drawing. Any company that submits a qualified registration but is not selected by the lottery for 2020 is automatically guaranteed an exhibit slot in 2021.

Applications must be received no later than next Friday, September 13, to be considered for this year’s lottery.

For more information, visit www.sema.org/mtc, or if you’ve heard enough and want a chance to participate in the lottery go directly to the application form.
