Hear from an international buyer panel of performance and off-road product distributors from key global markets, including the Middle East, Australia and China. These seven buyers will also meet one-on-one with attendees on a first-come-first-served basis. Use the summer Export Fair to start a conversation with these key buyers and invite them to your booth at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Join SEMA, July 25–26, for a busy two-day program designed to help members grow their overseas businesses. A wide range of topics will be covered, including:

  • Using social media to promote your brand/products in China.
  • Complying with overseas regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding the legal costs to enhancing the global protection of your trademarks and patents.
  • Top tips from a panel of manufacturers with a collective 100+ years of exporting experience.
  • Hearing from an international buyer panel of performance and off-road products.

Now in its second year, the SEMA Export Fair, held at the SEMA Garage in Diamond Bar, California, is a great opportunity to learn from the experts, meet with a panel of international buyers from Australia, the Middle East and China, and network with fellow SEMA members over In-N-Out Burger.

As part of our planning for the SEMA Show each year, we poll our exhibitors, buyers and media from the prior Show and carefully review the results. I’d like to thank the 3,000-plus folks who responded to our most recent study, sharing with us your aims, perceptions and ideas for the SEMA Show. And good news: Both buyers and exhibitors report very high satisfaction with the Show, and we see their enthusiasm as preregistrations for the 2017 SEMA Show roll in at record levels.

Legislation to extend the emissions-inspection exemption for new cars from six to eight model years has been approved by the California Assembly.

Legislation to extend the emissions-inspection exemption for new cars from six to eight model years has been approved by the California Assembly. Under the bill, the newly exempted motor vehicles (model years seven and eight) would be subject to an annual smog abatement fee of $24. Given that the average smog test costs between $29 and $69, vehicle owners can expect to save up to $45 per vehicle for each year of the exemption. If enacted into law, the exemption would become effective January 1, 2018. The bill has now been referred to the Senate Transportation and Housing Committee for consideration.

For more information, visit the SEMA Action Network (SAN) website. For details, contact Steve McDonald at stevem@sema.org.
